Please don't tell me how I should save up or anything bull like that. I need to move the **** out and now! How much do I need to make to afford a one bedroom one bath apartment in a SAFE neighborhood. I am looking at places like AZ, Chicago, Fort Worth, TX, and Atlanta, GA. Any help on SALARY expectations, are greatly appreciated.

I've already redone my resume, highlighting the skills and responsibilities that I currently have, which coincide w/ that of an Event Planner; but I haven't gotten any results as yet. I invested a lot of money into my Masters in Social Work, so I really don't want to have to get a second Masters. But I'm not fulfilled in my current job. It doesn't allow me to use all of the skills that I possess, and I'm unhappy and unfulfilled. Any suggestions?

I have been out of the workforce for several years while raising a family. I'm finally looking to go back to work, and I am hopeful that I will get an interview with the most recent place that I applied. It is a social service agency serving developmentally disabled adults. This is right up my alley - while I didn't get a degree in social work, I was a senior when I dropped out of school. I have experience working in another social service agency, as well.

If you have any good tips at all about interviewing, I would greatly appreciate hearing them!

We are having a hard time as anyone else maybe also and are running out of time and money to pay on some of our utillitys/rent payment at the moment. we have 3 small children and need to keep everything on for them,if it was just us then it would be different. We are getting some aid from the Gov. But it is not cash assistance just for food, Are there any sites I can go to that I can sign up for a loan? That way we can pay it back in installments and dont have to worry about an interest rate..

I am thinking about chosing law as my profession. I have looked up many things and can not find anything that tells me the types of lawyers and what exactly they do. I think that i would either like to be some kind of prosecuter or a lawyer that specialized in home cases. Such as abused children and child wellfare. At the risk of sounding like a whiner, i have family obligations (a 13 yr. old daughter, that i need to keep an eye on..etc.), and 6 days a week, is just TOO much.

The reason she is scheduling this way, is that others have asked for the extra time off (I haven't) and she doesn't have the staff to cover it. I haven't had a vacation in 3 yrs. (I know...cry me a river!)

I know i need to also ask for more time off (no guarantee she'd approve it.) All i'm asking is for my regular 5 days.

Also, jobs are scarce in this area, especially ones with benefits, which i have.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Not like a big interview for a company or anything...For like an interview at mc donalds...Or a supermarket or somewhere like that. Im a teen and was just wondering if I nice pair of jeans ...a nice button down shirt are proper attire, or should I wear a skirt..? I got fired las Nov. I was awarded unemployment for 26 weeks. Just today, I got a letter in the mail stating that ABC company vs. Me and telling me in a couple of weeks I am scheduled for a teleconferance etc. I did not appeal anything. Is the company appealling? Are they going to send me to jail or want me to pay back all of the unemployment I collected? I don't understand. I was fired wrongly anyway stating that I broke a code of ethics blah blah blah.

Around 15 years ago I worked for the Post Office as a Rural Carrier Associate it was a job delivering mail no benefits with full-time hours. I did not have my own route. I was told the person was leaving and I would take her place but she came back. I got a transfer to North Carolina after a divorce but I had to resign. My questions are how difficult is it to get back into the Post Office, do I have to start at the bottom and would it be really worth it. I am 47 work full time in printing make $15. per hour plus lots of OT and live on Long Island in New York. Thanks in advance

I used to Have a good job and Trade But the world has changed and so must I. I was in the color printing business and Had skills that everyone was willing to pay Me Big money for. I was in my 30s and making 1500.00 week. But the Web has eliminated 80% of needed printing. So now being a very handy guy I started a Handyman Business. Customers treet me as just a house worker and I am finding alot of Immigratts willing to work at lower prices. So I went to monster . com on the few jobs that I went for I am finding My age 52 is not working for Me. I am Fit and Have the skills But the Immigratts
get the job. Why cant I find a Good Job. The HandyMan Business Blows.....
