The employer will be notifying the agency whether you do or not. They might not say, 'we let her go', but they'll definitely be asking them to send someone new around.

Contact the agency. Let them know what happened without throwing blame around. If it was your fault or if there was a clash of personalities, let them know. But don't blame or make excuses! Keep your explanation short and to the point as to what happened.

If you were let go due to a lack of training then ask the agency to help you improve your skill set.

Be honest with the agency. More than likely they'll work on finding you another job as long as they see you as honest and trying to do well.

I've never said it to an agency, but I did put it on an application form once and I still got the job!

Tell them that your company had a "ROF", or a "reduction of force." It is a way of saying that you were let go but it implies that you were laid off, not fired.
