I've been practicing at home. Besides, most jobs require only 1 or 2 years work experiences and I far way too old for that.

I was thinking of applying for a job as a hotel house keeper. I told my mother and she freaked out and said, and I quote, "Eeeeeeewww! you'd be cleaning up every bodily fluid imaginable....and I mean, *every* bodily fluid". Has anyone ever worked as a hotel house keeper before? is it bad?

Hi, I am 30 and considering changing careers into medicine to become a doctor. I will have to start from the very bottom (keep in mind) by starting undergraduate study. I have an AAS in IT I earned years ago, but am tired of doing the work. I want dive into science and seek a career in helping people. I know it's a LONG hall of education and money to become a doctor, and I am thinking I would be just under or @ 40 before I even was able to get placed into a residency program, then 3-5 more years of that before I could start thinking about a fellowship. So I would be looking at 45-47 before I was actually doing most on my own. So, do you think maybe 30 is just too late to get started?

i am looking for a career with a meaning. somehow i have found in the past 2 years that i dont need a lot of money to be happy. i would like a job that i could help people with, either overseas or in the USA. i am only in college and never really knew what i wanted to do until somewhat recently. i think for me i would be more fulfilled helping people than making money. but granted i would needed a decent amount of money to raise a family. what careers are out there to help people? i needs ideas to brainstorm.

I'm a 17yr old Senior in HS. I work at a hospital as a ER Registration/Admissions Clerk. When I got the job, I worked weekends only(everyother weekend) and worked 12 hr shifts from 11am - 11pm. I liked it.After a short period of time, I began working EVERY weekend day and graveyard shifts and working during the week also. I have to come str8 from school to the hospital and work. I make pretty good and hour but I would rather work different hours. I gotta job offer @ the Police Dept.(i worked there 3yrs and love it but its only summer job) again and I work 5 days a week 8-4:30 and have every weekend off! The pay is basically the same. My parents have been wanting me 2 quit since I dont have to work but I'm too busy trying to please everybody. I can't handle the hours and cut into my personal life. All my friends say gurl, U working like you got a husband and kids to take care of! Should I quit and take a break and work @ da Police Dept. or stick wit it until I go 2 college?

Do you think I could get a management position within a company after graduating college with a B.S. degree?

My ultimate career goal is to get experience, get an M.B.A. and then EVENTUALLY becoming an executive like CEO or COO

I HATED BEING A CAMP COUNSELOR! So I quit my summer job. Now I have nothing to do. I've been in that one camp forever. What can I do to make money. And before you state the obvious:
-I have outdoor allergies, so mowing lawns is out
-I'm afraid of animals, so pet watching is out
-Supermarket only takes 18+
-Library only has voulenteer oprotunities
-I don't do well with babysitting, so that's out

What do I do? I'd like to make minimum wage, but anything above my old salary (94 cents an hour) is improvement.

So, I have worked at an amusement park during the summer for the past two years. I was in high school then, and was living with my grandparents. Now I'm in college, living on campus, an hour away from my grandparents' house. I am starting a new job here, but I had previously agreed to come back for another summer at the amusement park. If I lived with my grandparents during the summer, I'd have all my needs taken care of by them, and I'd be making more money. However, I'd constantly be under their watchful eye. If I stuck with my job here and got my own place this summer, I'd be closer to my boyfriend and my friends, but I wouldn't be able to make as much money as I would at the amusement park. What do you think I should do?
