I've been practicing at home. Besides, most jobs require only 1 or 2 years work experiences and I far way too old for that.

I will tell you that young people are quite advanced in using hi-tech.
By sharing info or trying to install and download different stuff, you train yourself by getting info, practicing and being attentive to commands.

Well, your typing skills seem to be okay to me as you can manage with this which is a lot more than some people.

There are some free courses that you can take online or books that you can get (perhaps from your local library) in order to help you improve. IF you have a computer at home don't be afraid to play and practise on it. Believe it or not I have a type speed of 55wpm, advanced Word and Intermediate Excel skills and it is all self-taught.

Don't give in to lack of confidence either. You are never too old to learn or to get a job and depending on where you live it may even be illegal for someone to turn you down on the grounds of age.
