I just had two interviews for internships, was offered both, and now have to narrow it down. I want to make sure the responsibilities are going to benefit me for which ever I chose. They told me briefly the responsibilities during the interview and I remember a little. I want to make sure it is not rude to email them and ask them again for the responsibilities. Any suggestions? Even on how to ask if I do?

I am 22, about to graduate college, and I'm looking into different careers. I am smart and can talk to people but I wouldn't call myself outgoing in any sense of the word. Can I still be successful in sales or will the outgoing people have the edge? Is the salesman stereotype true in the sales world? If anyone has real-world experience, their input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have associates degree in business from my community college. I took elementary, intermediate, advanced accounting courses plus auditing course while I was there. But I have no experience in accounting. How can I get it if all the accounting positions require at least 2 years experience? Should I look for a position where I can work without getting paid for couple of months to gain experience if such a position is available? If such a position is available, how do I find it?

I worked in a family business for almost 10 years on hourly wages. I decided to leave my job because I felt discriminated. I dont have a "brass" nameplate or business card. Since my sister join the company, she paid more than me. Now that I quit and found a better job part time. I am in school too, but I'll lose my benefits. It feels awful because I never was able to claim something of my own or be able to own a house or my own car payments in this family business. My money is less than what I need to pay rent each month. My family paid my insurance. Now, do you think i am discriminated by my controlling family or on the job or both? I got my sister defending people at work and tells me that she has a job to do telling me that I need to let her know what I am going to do instead of backing me up for quitting. I feel insulted by her comments. I felt that my family cut me out because I quit work. People at work lies behind my back and my family take their word for it.

Well I work at Starbucks, but I got a really really extremely good job for a magazine... Only thing is they need me to start now... I worked all day today, for really good pay... I make there in a week what I make at Starbucks in 2 weeks... And at this magazine theres so many connections and wayyyy more opportunities for me than there ever will be at Starbucks...

I want to do everything right, but I dont know if I can in this situation.

I want to put in 2 weeks notice, but my schedule has already been posted for 2 weeks and cant work it.

Then I want to call and tell them that I wont be able to work and I need to resign immediately, but theyll just try to talk me into staying or working it out and putting me through guilt trips.

Then I want to just not call and not show and start this new job, but I dont wanna be embarrassed when I have to go up to Starbucks to get my check and tips...

I am 19 and I want to become a Nurse Midwife. I am currently in college right now. I am going into nursing but I have to be put on a list to be in the nursing program. I am in pre-nursing right now but the waiting list goes up to 2010 and my name isn't on it yet because we have to meet certain standards first. I just wanted to know if there is anything else that I can do to become a Nurse Midwife a little faster.

I currently work as a waiter in a multinational chain of restaurants. This evening I had a table skip out on the bill without paying. This happened whilst I was performing other duties associated with my job.

According to my employer, although I was doing my job as described in my contract, I am responsible for this. I their eyes, I should cover their lose. I have been trying to get a copy of the 'Masters and Servants act', as I've been told that this legislature works in my favor.

What I want to know is, is it legal for my employer to attempt to make me pay this bill? I was not working outside the scope of my employment, I hadn't taken a break, and I wasn't skiving.

I hope that somebody can answer this for me soon

Thanks in advance

A.

My dream is to work in the film/tv industry. However, I wouldnt want to be a director or a producer because I do not believe I have the "eye" for it. I'm not very artistic either. What are some interesting careers that don't require much artistry? I currently work for an entertainment company handing out flyers but I really don't know if that will help me in the future experience wise.

So my job is to hand out flyers at the mall and get people to bring in their kids for practice commercials on camera and see if they like it or not. I work for an entertainment company and they just scout kids and teens to be background workkers. It's free and I am not selling anything to the parents. I get paid if they just go in and do the practice commercial. It's really difficult for me to approach people because they seem to lose interest so quickly. I'm not exactly a dull person. I'm pretty energetic but for some reason, people think I just want to scam them :( I really don't want to be the bad person. What are some little things I could do to keep their interest and see that I'm not just trying to take their money?
