I have a AA degree in psychology. A BA in Political Science/History. I own several properties. Yes, I have major debt because of properties and school loans. I work as a bellhop in a hotel. However, I manage to make ends meet. I've been a bellhop for 15 years. I did not aspire to become a bellhop for my mission in life. I have tryed other careers such as sales, to counseling, to bartending, to cleaning pools, construction, waiting tables, to working in a office, data entry, limo driving, and working in nursing. I have tryed every career under the sun with no real fulfillment. I always go back to being bellhop cause the money is easy(30K a year) and the flexible hours. I like the lifestyle. I hate 9-5 jobs. Now that I have major debt and a college degree I need a real career and need success in life. I wanted to go to law school but too much debt. Office work stinks! I want to be a WINNER. How can I do it? what can I do?Already been to a career counselor. No help.

I'm looking for summer employment and volunteer opportunities in southern vt, western mass, and eastern upstate new york that are related to art, like art centers, museums, etc. I want to sound professional and actually get replies back so how should I ask if they are offering any summer work? What can I do to get a start somewhere??

I was offered a modeling contract at a well respected talent agency in Detroit when I was twenty. I am now almost 23 and would like to get back into modeling.
I was just too immature and had difficulties making myself sign the contract (because I had an abusive boyfriend) when it was originally offered.

I now wish to get back in with the agency because I want a modeling career. I don't know how to approach them. They have "open calls" every once in a while, and you are welcome to "send in your pictures and get a response within 8 weeks" with their agency, but I don't feel like I should have to do these things because I was already offered a contract.

Should I just call there and say "I was once offered a contract, and have the desire to pursue modeling again" or what? I'm not sure what to say!

I want them to be receptive, but not angry because I didn't sign the first contract.

ok.. i work for next and our new year of holidays begin soon! thing is my boss wants me to be able to give her a list of all the holidays i need, for the complete next year (from april 2007- april 2008) by the end of the month (end of march 2007) or i will be allocated my holidays without any input!

is this legal? or is there anything i can do about it? it seems so unfair as i have exams and other things coming up and this means i cant plan holidays off work as i dont know when i'll need them!

Let my membership lapse as I thought I would be retiring from present job now in a downsize position. Will not have written the exam for membership before job is up. i'm working this afternoon 4:00pm 'til 9:00pm! i work in a supermarket and i'm a checkout operator! when the store closes at 8:00pm all the checkout staff are responsible for cleaning the area. we have to sweep, mop and wash down all the tills! i really don't feel like it tonight so if i phone in sick, what excuse shall i give?
