I currently work at Jewel part time. I would like to get a second job, so that way I could make more money. Should I put just my Jewel job down on the job application, or should I also list my job before that, which was Dominick's. I started working at Dominik's when I was 17 years old. I have been working their 4 years, then I got layed off, which was not my fault, business was dead their. At Jewel I am a cashier. Is it necessary to list both jobs, or just my current job?

ok i just recently moved out of my house, my parents never let me get a job and never prepared me for search and application process. I've been to a couple places and filled out applications and did those personality test. and my question is that the first time i filled out those personality test they told me i was not what they were looking for b/c i didn't put a 5 for every answere indicating that i was fantastic at that skill, i put a 4 on a couple of them being honsest, and i've heard this from at least 3 companies, so should i put that i'm great at everything on this test? and they ask questions about if you've ever stolen anything from a company that you've worked for, i have not so i put that for all 5 times they asked through the sheet, and a site on the internet said that if you say that you haven't ever stolen anything on the test it says that, that response indicates that your lying. is that true? because i really have not stolen from a company.

I have a deadline to submit 3 letters of reference to a company that has given me a job offer. I have to have these letters by Friday, and I've received two of the three letters I need.
How do I again remind the third provider of a reference (who is a professor) that I need the letter by Thursday? What should I say?

I feel like i am loosing it...career wise! I am in college...end of 3rd year this May. I have just started getting into my major related courses. Until now I've always been in the top 5% of the class especially math...and yes mine is a math realted major. Ppl around me had a hard time but I felt just fine. I was interested in giving my best too. But now that I've started my major related courses I am being discouraged by teh competition. There are kids who grasp faster than me...who ask really good questions and are those students who the teacher expects an A from. These classes are a lot harder no doubt but I am so discouraged to see myself at the average level instead of above average. I am really discouraged from studying or giving my best....how do i get out of this? Please don't say drop out or anything remotely close b/c that's NOT what i want to do when I have like 10 monts left to getting a BBA!! Thanks! I am not dumb...but in a phase and need to get out, don't know how!

All too often, I am passed up in my employment prospects.
I am treated like a number and I really don't like it.
Therefore, I am seeking something else.

There are way too many staffing firms out there that all do the same thing. They look for a few buzz words and a glorified resume'. They could care less about the employee.
They only seem to care about how much they can make when they fill a position. I have often played upon the system, much in the same way they do.

I mean their are agents for Taxes, football players, baseball players, finances, etc. Why then not for other fields?
I have even thought about starting my own staffing firm that does just that, but that is not what I want to do for a living. A staffing firm should do all the work. Resume, dealing with rejection.

I would like to work through a single staffing firm or person that can help me, rather than to be put through the shredder and talk to people for 15 minutes that have no idea of who I am or what I do

Right after my wife graduated from university, she got pregnant and stayed home for pregnancy and raising the child for one and half years. Last year, she got her first permanent professional job, she worked for 3 months, but she didn't pass the probation period. Is it a lie if she do not put the work experience on the resume? If she omit it in the resume, will employer think that she may have leave the professional too long? if she put it on the resume, how should she explain it to the potential employer?

Thanks in advance for all help and ideas!!
