hai there,

i wanted to give 2 weeks notice to my employer on 16/02/2007 but there's a public holiday on the 19/02 & 20/02 due to the Chinese New Year. Does PH counted?So when is exactly my last day?

as February is only 28 days

two weeks means 14 days..

16/17/18/19/20/21/22/23/24/25/26/27/28/1/2

so it will be on the 2nd of march..

Public holiday will be counted for the 2 weeks notice, just like Sunday. So, if you designed on 16/02/2007 (Friday), your last day is on 01/03/2007 (Thursday). Exactly 2 weeks.

I would say that your last day will be March 2, 2007. It is common not to count holidays.

It should be 2 March, since holidays are usually not counted. To be sure, ask the HR department.

if it's not a us holiday or your not in China don't count it your last day is 3/02/07 a.d. I wouldn't want to see you get confused and think it's b.c.
