I feel like i am loosing it...career wise! I am in college...end of 3rd year this May. I have just started getting into my major related courses. Until now I've always been in the top 5% of the class especially math...and yes mine is a math realted major. Ppl around me had a hard time but I felt just fine. I was interested in giving my best too. But now that I've started my major related courses I am being discouraged by teh competition. There are kids who grasp faster than me...who ask really good questions and are those students who the teacher expects an A from. These classes are a lot harder no doubt but I am so discouraged to see myself at the average level instead of above average. I am really discouraged from studying or giving my best....how do i get out of this? Please don't say drop out or anything remotely close b/c that's NOT what i want to do when I have like 10 monts left to getting a BBA!! Thanks! I am not dumb...but in a phase and need to get out, don't know how!

Why don't you ask some of the people who you feel are doing better than you if you could get together for some extra studying with them. I think that you will find that most of these people will be only too happy to help you to get out of your slump.

I would never discourage some one by saying to quit, wow I admire you for going the distance. Keep going your almost there.

Most people like to help others, I'm sure if you ask them for some help they will be more than happy to help you out. Some times it just takes asking for the help.

I wish you the best with your studies, keep going 10 months is just a walk in the park considering how far you have all ready come.

Do not give in to fear (scared) as fear is nothing. Besides you are better and stronger than that. If you don't think so look at it this way it took both guts and courage to sign up and take your self to classes every day and to get this far. That is not the sign of some one who is afraid. Now stop the worrying your doing great, after all your doing what most people can only dream of doing.

First you have to stop the competition, this BBA is for you, your future, and a career is not a race. You not loosing it, you are doing great, this is normal; our life will not be always perfect. There is nothing wrong to be on a average level sometime in our life, there are more day to come. Remember this; darker hour of the day is the hour before the sun come out. And this is where you are at this moment 10 month from the BBA.
So HOLD on.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."
