What would you get monthly for being a sales assistant? A receptionist, a secretary, an office manager, a baker... the list goes on. I am interested in what you guys get paid monthly - after tax gets deducted from your pay. Thanks a lot!

I recently resigned from an extremely stressful job in the sales management field and have exploring 2nd career options. I have not yet identified what I am interested in doing but I do know that I want to find a career that is NOT stressful. I am interested in knowing which jobs/careers are those with the least amount of stress?

If you work in a job or career that you do not consider to be stressful I'd love to hear about your experience. Thanks!

On the table are two job offers.

One is in San Francisco where the cost of living is high, there will be a substantial commute, and the pay will be good, but somewhat less than the other offer. The Bay is a new adventure, has temperate weather, nearby beaches, fresher air, etc.

The other is in Wilmington, DE where the cost of living is reasonable, the commute to work is fairly short, and the pay is somewhat more than the SF job. Wilmington is a smaller town, not a lot going on, full range of seasonal weather.

The work is similar in both locations. Long hours, semi-stressful professional job.

So...what would YOU choose, and why?

I'm curious what kind of jobs pay decently for a short term job. I'm not talking about work at home stuff I'm talking about real jobs that don't require special education. Any ideas? Thanks.

Okay. I work at Radioshack which is minimum wage base with commission opportunity. I've worked there for two years and make an average of 8 to 9 dollars an hour. I recently moved in with a roommate (lived with my parents before) and my income is barely covering my living expenses. I've been promised entry into the management training program this summer. I'm 20 credits away from my two year community college degree but have not much time for school with a full time job. Should I look for another job? Stay with this one? My boss's wife also has breast cancer and he has stated many times that he'd die if any of his full timers quit cause its so hard to find good employees. Radioshack does not offer raises to sales associates, only promotions. What should I do to bring in more money?

I was told by my supervisor to document everything since we have been having difficulties with a new boss. I have a hard time remembering exact conversations.

I'm in my mid 20s and I hate my job. I want a job that is interesting, not exactly the same everyday, I don't have to spend all day behind a desk staring at a computer screen, where I work with other people but they aren't all in my face, and where the others in the office are at least remotely intelligent and friendly. I currently work in hospitality, which is a decent industry, but I hate working overtime nearly every single day and on weekends.

I like DOING stuff more than office work, but I am happier in a management position than as a laborer. I hate being micromanaged and likewise I hate having to babysit employees. I am very detail-oriented, especially when going over written materials.

I have a degree in Media studies but I don't feel like dealing with the Hollywood scene so much; too many egos.

I want to just quit my job because I am so stressed, bored, and miserable every single day but I feel like I should have something else ready to go.

So what should I do with myself?

If you are in charge of doing the hiring at your job, what qualities do you look for in a candidate....what makes a person most valuable for hire.....specifically, someone straight out of college?

How hard is it? I here it's VERY easy to pass with a 70 but I understand you need a 90 or higher to avoid a waiting list. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?I'm pretty smart, I have a scholarship and have always gotten good grades so I don't think I'll have any problems really... unless it's more than I'm expecting.

I love and I'm good at math, I want to make pretty good money, and I don't want to have to move to the city. I can't think of a job that fits this description. Can you?

Somehow I managed to squeak through four years of college without any particular skills or job qualifications: I am very good at proofreading/editing as well as teaching. But I don't have a teaching certificate, and I live in a city with very few publishing outlets. I've waited tables, tended bar, worked retail, and am currently an administrative assistant to a stock broker. I'm trying to pay down my student loans before heading back to grad school, but I'm finding it difficult to make ends meet--and maintain my sense of self-respect--without an advanced degree. I'm about to apply for more secretarial-type positions. Save me.

Hey there.

I just got a call from this employer, they want me to go for a interview there tomorrow. I've never heard of them until now, anyone know anything about them, are they for real? Good company scam company? I checked out their website and it doesn't say to much, but great stuff of course I need to know the ins and outs.

Please honest opinions :
