From experience of being a working single Mother there are no benefits. I would have rather have spent my time with my children then with a career. I am sure my children would agree. But, unfortunately this cruel life did not give me that benefit.

I have to agree with toomanycommercials.

The only benefits I can think of are the mom getting a break for a bit. Also, some people might need another avenue for a sense of satisfaction in their lives.

I worked outside the home for 15 years before realizing I was missing out on so much with my children. I quit my job and rearranged my life and now i spend tons of time with my kids and it's great.

Good Luck

All mothers work. If you presumably mean work outside the home with an income, there are no benefits. The income will be spent on daycare for the children who would benefit much more by the time and attention of their parents.
