How hard is it? I here it's VERY easy to pass with a 70 but I understand you need a 90 or higher to avoid a waiting list. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?I'm pretty smart, I have a scholarship and have always gotten good grades so I don't think I'll have any problems really... unless it's more than I'm expecting.

It is an idiot test, if you leave your common sense at home it is easy but if you think too much it will mess you up.

The test is not particularly hard. The difficulty is being able to concentrate for long periods and not getting blurry as time winds down. To get the highest grade borrow the test book from the library or buy it from a book store. Depending upon which test you are taking different things are important, for a Letter Carrier, for instance, doing well on the 'what's different' section is important. Everyone goes on a list which is used by Postmasters to select candidates from. BTW if you think the test is challenging just wait until you start you 90 days on probation. The test itself is not too bad. Getting selected for employment is the real problem. They have weighting factors they apply to ensure that their employee profile matches the ethnic makeup of the community. This might work for you or against you.

Took it and think that you should get one of the arco books from the library.
The test does NOT measure intelligence.
(just look at the current postal workers)
It measures your ability to acertain differences in a series of addresses.
If you dont know a few ways to pass the test (helpful hints) you WILL FAIL!
It is just that simple.
If you can't rent the book from the library at least take a peek at one from your local bookstore.
YOu will be so glad you did
GOOD LUCK!
