on the bottom of payroll saying that:

By cashing this cheque form ABC Inc. you agree not to take assignments with the client from a minimum of six weeks.

my question is: Does this mean that I can't take any assignments from other agencies except current agency--ABC Inc agency?

Thanks

i have been given a couple of chances in which i could have a job for the summer especially in my field which is history since i am going to be a history teacher.i am a college student and have been give the opportortunity to work out of state in my field or archeology for a salary ranging between $6000-$11,000. i am not sure what state it is going to be in but the offer is tempting. is it a good thing/offer? i am trying to save money for a car to pay for most of it or to make at least a downpayment of at least half the amount. has anyone been in the situation where you face a big salary but here is my question:does working in another state and the airplane ticket come out of my pocket, same as with food, shelter, transportation or will it be provided?some of the things were not provided and therefore i have to use my better judgement w/o knowing the other details that i have listed-trasnportation, air plane ticket, etc. help plz. thanks since the deadline for the application is due.

what is a better field to go into, accounting or computer science?

compare the hours, dress code, time off, being able to work from home, level of social contact

are the hours in accounting as bad as they seem? i've heard the hours can get inhumane during tax season. but i've also heard computer programmers work long hours, but they have the type of work where they could do a lot of it at home

I work in a small law office with two partners Ashley and Janice. I am assigned to Ashley as her administrative assistant. The job pays well, $35K per year, but it has it downsides. Ashley is really busy and I do everything from getting her drycleaning, fetching her coffee to making sure the cleaning company comes to her home.

This is not great, but recently it got worse. Ashley came back from a client meeting and called me into her office. She said she was beat and asked me to give her a foot massage. This seemed really inappropriate but I did not think I could say no. I sat next to her and she took off her shoes and I proceeded to give her feet a massage. This was really unpleasant as she had been wearing heels and hose all day. While I did this she totally ignored me and talked on the phone to a client.

I felt a little demeaned afterwards, but Ashley has come to expect this now. I was actually considering quiting my job.

I have a BS in Psychology. I was in the Air Force for 4yrs as an Avionics Technician. I am currently working in a doctor's office as a massage therapist. I make under $30k/yr and that is not going to cut it for me.
I have been considering going back to school for radiology. Ideally, I'd like the 9-5 M-F work schedule, and something that pays well wouldn't be so bad either.

So the other day a member of the management team approached me. I have known her for many years (since 1993) when I started out in the organization as student for a career preparation program. Anyways she tells me that she heard that I applied for a posting as a Coordinator (promotion) and that she was happy that I did. Then she offered me some coaching that she said she was not offering to anyone else. She said that we could meet for a beer one day after work if I was interested. I have not given her an answer yet. I think it could be a test and as well would not keep me on my toes in gathering info that I need from more accepted and viable sources.

What do you think the ramifications of accepting this could be?

I need some advice. I have been trying to move from my current position and applied for an internal move several months ago. We just found out that my husband has been offered a job somewhere else and it would be a great careet move. The same day, I got offered the job I wanted. The problem is that we are going to be moving (when? I don't know). I am torn over whether to pursue this job they are giving to me becuase I know I will be leaving in perhaps 4 months. No one at my office knows about the relocation and I want to take this position for as long I as I can have it to further myself. It's not everyday someone hands you a promotion.

What should I do? Take the job or not? I think I should just because my husband's job might fall through (you never know) and then I will kick myself later. Plus, it's a good career move. It's not personal, it's business right?

Any advice would be great!
