what is a better field to go into, accounting or computer science?

compare the hours, dress code, time off, being able to work from home, level of social contact

are the hours in accounting as bad as they seem? i've heard the hours can get inhumane during tax season. but i've also heard computer programmers work long hours, but they have the type of work where they could do a lot of it at home

Dont go into accounting unless you are willing to take and pass the CPA - thats alot rougher than tax season hours. Without a CPA, you won't go too far (like a lawyer that doesnt pass the bar).

There are too many people in Computer Science, its a dying field with pay on fast decline. You are better off going into Accounting and minoring with a Finance degree, you have a better chance to flourish in a major corporation with Accounting background.

accountant hours can be brutal during tax season...if you really want to work from home and not have extreme overtime during Jan-April...avoid the accountant

It could be good (if you have good co-workers, boss, etc.) and greasy - depending on which area you work in the restaurant. Either way, though, you come home smelling like food - often times like onions!
