the insurance company for where i am working @ now is supposed to drug test me. i turned in my paper work 5months ago & ive been on payroll now for 4months.

do you think that they would have drug tested me by now? would i ever be on payroll if the insureance company didnt accpet me?

Why dont managers exploit relationships instead of condemming them.


By this I mean instead of being cross why not get sneaky as say.


If you two get your quotas done on time or quicker or sell extra stuff or sort something out to a higher standard...

then let them flirt/ wear sexy stuff.

i' m an introvert. i never let anyone know my thinking. I work spontaneous by my nature. i never request rewards. Now i find it hard to even talk to my boss & demand things. To me, requesting a reward is not a reward. I m currently searching for a new job.

I am going to be quitting my job of 6 months. I can't stand my boss. I don't think I'll be getting a reference from her, but it's very important that I have some. I didn't have a good relationship with her, 3 other people left in the space of 9 months since she started, I'll be the 4th one. She makes me so nervous that I've made a few mistakes (nothing that could not be fixed, but not good either), so I know she won't be saying positive things about me. I can't leave it off my resume either as its my first career position. She's a bad manager, and we're a bad fit together.

My problem is -- how do I portray references? I have a VP reference, along with a couple of peer references from this company. I have a management reference from my previous job. It will look strange that I don't want to give a reference from my immediate supervisor at this job however, and I can't use the excuse "they don't know I'm searching" as I'll be quitting without another job lined up. Any ideas?

My parents chose for my job but for many years I am never happy about my work, only my officemates cheer me up. . My brain was not designed for audit work. So now I am studying at night to change my career. But my present job keeps me from studying, I can never open my books, not a single chapter I read. I befriended this person and helped her out at work a lot .i just found out that a petty complaint made against me that caused me some grief at work came from her.At present she doesn't know that I know it was her.I now deal with her only on a professional level, i no longer "help her out".I now know what a manipulative deceptive person she is.She presents the face of being sweet and religous.I feel like a fool because i actually felt sorry for her because of all her "problems" i listened to and gave sympathy about.My husband thinks she is jealous of me because i am about to retire in 2 yrs and this lady is much older than me and won't be able to retire until she is about 100 yrs old.I have to deal with this woman for another 2 yrs.I am finding it difficult be cause now she wants to know why I am "angry" with her( i no longer "help her out",she take this as angry.)Every time i have to work with her i feel nauseated because i know how deceptive she is and i can't say anything.

Okay I had a job interview on Friday the 12th of January. She said that she would be calling people starting on Tuesday the 16th. I followed up on Monday with a thank you note and Wednesday a call to thank her and to see where the employment standing is.
