I'm trying to decide where to go to grad school for art history.. I'm wanting a larger city with plenty of museums and colleges.. but I don't want to live somewhere with bad crime or a ridiculous cost of living.. just needed some suggestions.

I like Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. Universities, museums, decent cost of living and a lot of diversity. All cities have some crime but it will all depend on where in the city you live.

Philadelphia has both bad crime and a rediculous cost of living.

Id say Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, or Minneapolis, MN

Sorry to say that I do not have any stats to back this up, but I understand that Indianapolis has one of the lowest costs of living of any major US city.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for.
