1. Go into the interview prepared with4-5 really good questions to ask:
Some examples might be "What is the career growth/promotability path for this position?" Why is this position open" "What do you see as being the ideal characteristics of the perfect candidate for this position?"

2. Answer the questions that your interviewer asks you completely and honestly. But do not ramble. Give complete answers and thoughful answers but do not go on an on about irrelevant information

3. Dress professionally. Make sure that you are clean and neat. Do not wear perfumes or scents and if you have long hair, pull it back.

4. Make sure that you thank the person that interviews you for their time and shake their hand. This may seem small but a lot of people forget to do this and leave a bad impression

5. Make sure that you send a Thank You note to your interviewer immediately after the interview.

6. Think about how you would answer the following standard interview questions:
What are your biggest strengths?
What is your biggest weakness?
Why do you want this position?
Why do you think you would be good at this position?
Why did you leave or why do you want to leave your last job?

Good Luck

Look the person in the eye. Dress pretty conservativley (dark suit with pantyhose if you wear a skirt). Wear a blue shirt under your suit (if black or navy). Wear conservative heels (2 1/2 inches). Not too much makeup but do wear some (lipstick and mascara). Conservative jewlery (stud earings and a simple necklace). Take off nailpolish and paint nails clear. Hair half back or in pony tail.

Bring a couple copies of your resume. Smile a lot. Do not cross your legs (just your ankles). If you don't the answer don't make anything up. Print your resume on nice paper.

I have interviewed several people over the past few years. The candidates that always impress me are the ones that are truly being themselves. There is a fine line between being confident and being boastful. If asked where you want to be 10 years from now, don't say anything that would sound too ambitious. I had one girl that answered "working hard, continually learning and helping support my family"...needless to say, she got that job.
