I'm an elementary education major and I am a junior. I have recently realized that I don't have much for my resume. I have worked since I was 17 but it has always been bartending or serving in restaurants. I really wish I had lots of experience working with kids. It's just really hard for me to find the time to volunteer to work with children because I'm always working or doing school work. Do things like helping with vacation bible school help? If I volunteered over the summer to read books to kids and maybe do small activities with them would that be good? I need some suggestions please!!
Thanks!

I am wondering how you find a reputable business to work for , and how you check their history , how much work you can get for home based data entry, surveys on line etc... Does anyone have experience with these or any others? Thanks

My company let me go after 13 years of service with no write ups or probation of any kind. I did sign an employee at will at the start of my employment, but it still feels like such a shaft deal. It happened in the state of Utah. Options?

I took my current job somewhat out of desperation - because I did not want to wait around any longer to hear back from others. After four days of working there, I received an offer from the job I really wanted. Is it not wise to leave a new job so soon? How can I do this professionally and politely? Or maybe there are benefits to staying (other than avoiding the embarrassment of quitting abruptly)?

I am looking for a home based business that is easy and don't cost a lot to get started, like taking surveys or something like that. It has to be legit and pay fairly good.

How do they maintain their vehicles? Does each park or forest have a garage and a team of mechanics or do they farm out to local businesses? Does it depend on the size of the park and fleet? Do they use more diesel vehicles than gasoline or are they switching to alternative fuel vehicles?

Live in a thriving economy with an abundance of ability but having a tough time getting started. I have always undervalued myself and the type of job I was at monopolized on that sort of thing through out the orqanization. Today it seems that youth has learned a way to aquire the big salary jobs with less experience and for some reason they are complaining about it. To find that job that will pay what you are worth seems to hide in utopia. Please don't get me wrong as to what I feel I'm worth it is the job comparisons and the finished product that my work produced that I am measuring on. The large corporations don't seem to care and yet they preach and cry about their lack of quality people. My success was documented and measured against peers in the same organization and yet I left because of a lack of challenged, which I expressed to them, as well as a grossly underpaid position that was in the bottom of the scale in comparison to the total industry.
