I am looking for a home based business that is easy and don't cost a lot to get started, like taking surveys or something like that. It has to be legit and pay fairly good.

I'm partnered with a wonderful company that's a member of the Better Business Bureau. I currently work from home. You could too. It's simple. All you do is set up customer accounts. You don't have to deal with paper work, just enter in the basic information online. It works great for me because there's no selling involved. I love it. It works well around my schedule because I'm a stay at home mom. You can work as little as 5 hours or as many as 20. It's all up to you. If you want more information, check out my link. http://www.workathomeunited.com/formhals

*You can e-mail me if you have any other questions. Have a wonderful day :o)

You are better off having a home based biz with something you are more familiar with. What do you like to do in your spare time or what subjects interest you. Need ideas?

There is a website that has a lot of great ideas for home based business. here is the link

http://getpaid2workfromhome.com

Also if just getting a job at home is what you want then get your resume together and go to

http://2ndincomejobs.com

this website only has telecommute jobs listed, which will require a resume and you will have to interview for them.

If you want to make fairly good money, online surveys aren't the way to go. They do make money, but it's only a few bucks here and there. I have a home based business currently and it works well for me. I'm able to set my own hours, spend more time with my family, and even receive benefits for my entire household! Maybe it'll work well for what you're after too. You can check out my website and request an interview here: http://www.freedomathometeam.com/LMota

There really is no one "silver bullet program". Plus I have probably fallen for every scam out there. I make a very significant income working from home but it is from many different avenues. The most interesting thing is the things that probably make me the most money I have never paid a single solitary dime to. Below I sited some links that you may find useful. Two major rules of thumb to remember when you are evaluating legitimate work from home opportunities: 1) If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. You are not going to make a full time income working 5 hours a week with an investment of $19.95. 2) Stay away from any on line "opportunity" that asks for any type of significant financial investment. Check out the links below, they will be useful.

If you are artistic or can come up with some funny quips to put on a shirt or mug ect. then www.cafepress.com or www.printfection.com are both places you can sell products for free through (you provide the designs, they overlay them on product images and print them when a customer orders them...they take a base price and you choose how much you want to mark up the price above that--and that's what you take home when you make a sale).

About surveys...they don't pay enough to really be called a business. I take all the surveys I qualify for and earn about $20 most months.

I've listed most of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following webpage:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).

As you're searching, here are some tips to avoid scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it.

Here are two other sites which are very helpful

There is this great site called dormcheck. It pays you to post your opinion and it also pays you to post pictures. There is also cash boosters that will reward you with 30$. It even pays you a certain amount for logging in. And if you think that is cool, they also pay you to use a web search bar in their site. If you get the correct word, they pay you a prize. They also have daily contests that reward you with some good money. So why not try it. Its free, and dependable. And people have even posted a picture of their check that they had recieved.

P.S. The more you post at this site, the more you earn. If you also referal your friends to the site you will gain extra money every time that they post. It is progressing, and soon there might possibly be a pay to click section within the site. I am sure you will earn some extra money.

Here is the site:

I have found several legitimate work at home sites so far, and one of them made me $494+ in October, $700+ in November, and $838.57 in December. They are free to join.

Please click my screen name or avatar for more information and a link for proof of payment.

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.

Want to sell websites? Unfortunately we are not up and running yet but you can see the concept at http://buibase.com. The program for our sales reps are not availble yet but will be in about 6 months. We plan on giving the sales people the tools to create a cool website for people and have them update content themselves. you can check out my site at http://dan.buibase.com and even sign up and play around with it. We plan on passing most of the income to the sales people as we are after the local advertisements only. If you are still interested in about 6 months just visit us again.
