not feel up to stydying when he gets back to his digs at night...he works away from home. He has only recently taken up study and finds it's very difficult to get motivated with the result that he is behind with his studying and gets very confused. He is doing opening learning...best option suited to his situation so he does not have the luxury of a tutor to advise or support him. Also He does not have the option of saying No to this study as it is a requirement for his job that he gets a qualification.

Have you been in this situation and what got your through a stressfull time of your life? Thank you.

I see the workers of wal-mart have a website where they complain about how terrible the jobs they have are. Do they fail to realize they could quit and get another job? Or is it that they lack the education or skils to do anything besides jockey a register or collect buggies?

MY CHECK AMOUNT IS (416.80) Did i just take a pay cut?????The company last a work van and has to invest in a new one. Are the employees paying for it???The Manager said i would get a raise in 30 days and i did not yet after 5 mouths. Can he legally change his mind because it was verbal.???

I currently work in retail.
I'm really tired of working at the bottom and doing most of the work.
I've also put in hundreds of resumes and applications all over the place in the last nine months.
I'm currently out of ideas.

If you were moved into an office with an ignorant coworker whom you can't stand (all she does is complain, complain, complain about her work) and management won't move you back where you were originally, would you grin and bear it due to good money and benefits, or would you look for a different job, perhaps closer to home? I've been trying to grin and bear it for three weeks.

I feel my job performance has been good or excellent at most jobs I've worked. I've always felt I was well liked on the job. People nod and smile, saying positive things when talking to me.

However, I've caught glimpses and hints that what people say directly to me is very different from what they say to others. I've also considered negative things I've said about others on the job and realize I'm not always honest with people either. I wonder now what people say about me behind my back, and if that has had more influence on how bosses view me, rather than my practical job performance.

What advice do you have regarding "workplace talk" and what can I do to keep peoples perceptions of me from poisoning my actual job accomplishments.

I am inteviewing for teaching positions in big cities in the east and south. Disclosed my DUI as past arrests require an answer. DUI was 17 years ago, Im 4 years sober in aa/na for 8 years. I have some employment gaps due to struggles with substances, but have a 3.5 *** average, so I have passed the resume/ed phase. How do I deal with these topics on an interview if they come up....how much should I disclose...or is my basic story of becoming sober a plus forr me(overcoming lifes challenges a plus). I am also adopted and come from 2 diverse families now....are any of these a plus to disclose...the ED systems seek people with diverse backgrounds....any help would be appreciated...thanks
