Yes. You can get even better pay when you join with an union. My dad is an electrician and he makes good money.

BUT, it can be difficult to find jobs, depending on where you live. My dad often goes several weeks -or even months- without finding work. You may also have to be pretty flexible too; sometimes my father has to go work in another state, and sometimes he's got to work night shifts, like he's doing now.
