Not as long as you keep your distance and anonymity. Don't start giving personal info out, though. You never know who you're dealing with or whether they're telling the truth, so it's best to assume that they aren't. There are plenty of predators on the net waiting to run their scams; get into your life where you don't want them; try to use you and others for their own sick bents but as long as you bear this in mind and proceed with caution, you'll be alright.

I have asked the same question a few days ago. Everybody told that anyone can use you. If you want make friends as I have found one last year, you need to be in chat. But do not put your life and photos in the Internet.

It depends on how far you take it. You can chat and have fun on line as much as you want. But it must be purely anonymous, that's why people use screen names instead of their real name. Where it gets dangerous is when you get to 'close' with someone and you tell them who you are, where you live, and other personal information about yourself. You must be forever wary of online predators. Don't ever meet with someone you've met online or give information about where they can find you.

yes there is b/c u never know if they're telling the truth about who they are...i mean its ok if all u do is talk to them on the net...but dont give away ur adress or phone #....b/c they can track u by that..and dont give any clues about where you live...b/c u never kno wat this person is up to...one of my friends has almost gotten raped b/c she was stupid enough to try and meet this person she had been talking to..but turns out he was a rapist..so yes there is a lot of risk.

I think so if you were to meet them in person in the future after they get you in a comfort zone . You can never know who you are really talking too and if your on the young age it can be even more dangerous . Be Safe..
