My husband "John", my brother in law, "Tim" I work within his parents business. We have some very serious issues with it however. "John" and "Tim" are on salary pay. "Tim" always shows up late by at least an hour and leaves whenever he feels like it while at the same time "John" is always at least an hour early to get things prepared for the day. They make the same pay while "Tim" is always goofing off. I think this is very unfair and have brought it up many times with his parents. Nothing ever happens or is said about it. As soon as "John" makes a mistake he's corrected within seconds. "John" knows all of the aspects of his job, while "Tim" barely knows his job. After many stressful days, I've found that my husband "John" and I are fighting on a regular basis, and he has started drinking more. Today is one of those days because my mother-in-law "Helga" has messed up my pay once again. I have talked with her already and she refuses to pay me for all of the hours I worked.

On my quest to find a job, I've been applying to job ads from smaller sites (like craigslist) to the bigger ones like monster.com, careerbuilder.com. I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time by applying to jobs on these larger sites like monster (I'm an entry-level candidate, May 2006 grad). Now, Monster allows you to see your status. For the last month, for each resume and cover letter I sent these employers, my resume/cv letter was only viewed ONE time (the rest were just 'received'). It's annoying to me that I spend my time customizing every cover letter, but they don't even read it. Should I just focus on the smaller sites and company-specific postings (I mean, on the company websites). I'm starting to feel like I'm wasting my time on these large websites.

I'm job hunting and was wondering what fellow unemployed people do to entertain themselves during weekdays.. I'm limiting it to free activities, because frankly I can't afford to really go out and hang with buddies; good old credit card bills are still being sent my way, etc.. I look forward to reading your suggestions..

I have 1 year financial analyst experience in Korea. I've heard it's really hard to get a work permit til Oct. 2007 due to some laws. I also know I need sponsorship from companies. But will there be any companies wanting to sponsor me? I have finance certificates and experience but looks like it's too competitive to get in, and also too hard to get the visa.
