I had 2 interviews today and the one just doesn't seem to suit the position. She never looked very professional, or amused about it. She would probably like a faster paced job. How do I tell her that she didn't get the job? I told her that I'd call with an answer before I left...HELP!

Where do you work right now? If someone were to offer you $250,000 a year to do whatever you want to do for a living, what would you do? What prevents you from doing it right now?

I'm a bookkeeper for a small business. My boss originally hired me to just take reservations and do the bills, and sometimes order supplies for the business. But after a year... she's been handing over her work to me and she pays me the same amount! I would do her payroll, personal finances, return her personal shopping items, buy her coffee, watch her kids, manage the business to see if there are any problems with the systems, return all her phone calls in her name(she is supposed to call them back..sometimes she asks me to make up excuses for her.), deal with the accountant re: Qtr/Pr/Property/IRS/etc..., and much more... All she does now is come in for like 3-5 hours and just sit there or walk around back and forth! I know it is my job...but it is irritating!

I am working in my job for a year and I got a call from a place I used to work saying that somebody has left (who was in a higher position than me) and now that I have more experience would I like their job. I am training as a Lawyer and doing exams and said that all I was looking for my traineeship. They telephoned back to arrange a meeting and when I went there, they were just asking why I wanted to leave my present job, what was I doing there and why did I apply for a job there. Why did they ring and offer me a job? If the whole time they are asking why I am not happy in my job. I thought the whole idea of contacting someone when they are already working somewhere and offering them a job is because you want them, not they want you. Am I right??? Is that not how headhunting goes?

online jobs? Are these people afraid to leave their homes or are they just looking for get-rich quick schemes. I just don't understand it. If there was a business out there where you could sit in front of your computer all day, not leave your house AND make money, don't you think it would be all over in the news and EVERY person in the US would be applying for this job???

You know what I mean? In MLM it is taught that when people say its a pyramid you explain to them that the pyramid is the same thing as any business, with lots of workers on the bottom, managers higher up making more money, and the top people making the most.

When you consider that in MLM the people at the bottom are not making any money (at least not enough to live off of), yet in conventional workplaces the people at the bottom are at least making a wage, does this comparison hold water?

Are there any sort of services where you can hire someone to help you find a job far away? I would probably pay up to $500 to have someone help me who lives in the area, can get my resume in front of managers at companies there etc. Kind of like a recruiter but instead of working within a company, works for me :D

...... ..have a serious knock on effect. The reason i ask is that i don't go football anymore, don't use public transport, don't buy Mcdonalds, don't go to coffee houses. Half the things that are advertised, like cars, are wasting my time. If people don't use a lot of things that are too expensive what happens next?
