can employers ask if you have had any expunged criminal convictions if its the state hiring you. i am going out to be an EMT and they are asking for all convictions including misdemeanors,felonies, and expunged records. if i don't tell them of my expunged crime can they still deny me hiring?

Yes, they can ask you any relevant question to your hiring. Since you may be exposed to possible life and death situations, your record is of course relevant. I'm assuming since it was expunged, then it was a long time ago and you probably can explain it away as something you did as a dumb kid. Otherwise, if you lie on an application, that is always grounds for termination. If you are really worried, consult an employer attorney, although they rarely give free consultations. Good luck.

Expunged means it has been erased.
I'd answer No and then see a lawyer.
Your case is why records are expunged.
