well that's a very hard question, and I would say it depend of the person and the things that realy matter I have meet dancers (nude dancers) that are very happy and meke enough money to pay college and babysit and house and food, a normal work doesn't pay well most of the times, and well some times it makes me wonder, what if? , when I see how many money they made and I look how hard I work for 8 or even more hours with my universitary deggre and I can't take vacations cuz the work don't wait, and is there soo much I want to study like folklore or get a master in human comunication, but well I'm not rich and even if I could pay a master tuition I don't have time
I have get offers 2 or 3 times to do modeling and "scort", and I speak whit other scorts girls and well it was just that scort some realy nice guy to a nice party and just that, and u won 300 dollars, soo it make me wonder, I could do that and get my master, and free time, any way I'm to much a chiken to do it but I think is a good work, as any cuz we all sold our selves in the laboral market, some of the girls that work as dancers o scorts, sell their bodys but some of us who work for the corporatives, have already sold our solds, oru familyu time, and our dreams, well pick your choice

Long hours for low pay is a better choice because aside from being safer, and cleaner it is also less degrading and toxic to the person. Young men and women often thing the sex trade is an easy way to make money but those who do get into it find it nearly if not impossible to get out of and to add insult to injury the money you make is rarely your own. Oh I know there are those "independents" but they usually still wind up paying protection to some thug so they can work an area. The sex trade is no bargain and still not recognized in most places as a necessary evil. If it were regulated, safe and protected by the police as any other job that would be different, but the drug usage and risk involved will always make a legitimate low paying job better. You can always work your way up in a low paying job or work your way out. In the sex trade you are a commodity and there is no place to go but out.

I personally would not recommend anyone working as a prostitute. It is degrading, illegal, and dangerous. By allowing any such person into your bed you are opening yourself up to violence, abuse and disease, not to mention fines and prison time. I also find it morally wrong, but others may disagree.

I think there are always other options over the sex trade, so my answer is low wages, long hours with the recommendation seeking training/education and public assistance if need be.

Are you serious? Sex work is not just another job - it is like giving part of your very being to another person..in this case a stranger which is probably why most sex workers try to detach themselves from the reality as much as possible..

Although the so-called sexual revolution means that we can all now apparently have sex for fun yaddi yaddi ya - it is in the case of most women not the way sex feels..

By that I mean that cultural changes cannot fly in the face of 2,000,000 years of evolution which steer women towards being both selective and emotional about their choice of mates..with women always looking for a degree of love. In the absence of that - porn/sex work etc in the long term usually damage can be done to a female's psyche..

It also damages the male psyche who have since the beginning of time had the evolutionary anomaly - wanting women (many) to put out (in order to fulfil the sub-conscious desire to forward their genes) yet at the same time having the again, sub-conscious desire to ensure paternity..hence why when a woman puts out for lots of men (as in the case of sex worker) her worth/respect for her etc all fall..

So no thanks - I would rather starve than to have sex with a man who was paying me or to do a porn film and degrade myself..

A male friend of mine has a girlfriend who strips for a living. She makes thousands of pounds each week stripping, money she could never make doing any other kind of work. I don't know if she also sleeps with clients. My values would prevent me from doing this type of work, and I personally would rather work long hours in a low paid job, than give away something to strangers that I want to only give my boyfriend.
