Your best bet is to apply in person, and be dressed well. Most funeral homes do not advertise for available positions. If you are not licensed, you will be limited as to what you can do, such as you won't be able to embalm and making arrangements. Your duties would be limited to cleaning the cars, helping the funeral directors, running flowers, maintenence work and so forth. Good luck!

Sure, go to any funeral parlor and ask if they are hiring. Remember, the undertaker is the last person who will let you down.

You sure you want to work in this industry...it's a bit of a dead end job but at least you don't get to bring your work home with you!

best route into the business is via local company willing to train you up - apply in writing and good luck - not an easy job xx

if you have at least an associates degree you can enter a school of mortuary science. Then the doors will be more open to you.
