Would anybody know if I need qualifications such a degree in order to become a classroom assistant? What are the duties of a teaching/classroom assistant? What is the salary range? Are most of the jobs available in infant and secondary schools?

Finally, I heard from an old friend of mine, that it is not necassary to have any qualifications in order to become a Teaching Assistant Is that true? He said he knows of cases where people have been taken on as Teaching Assistants, who have emigrated here quite recently from countries like Poland, Nigeria, and have not got a very good standard of English.

Thank You

I have a total work-ex of 7 years into sales. Lately 2.5 years ago I got into a new industry i.e. logistics with one of the biggest airline representation company in India. However to me the industry seems to be boring and I don't enjoy the work.
I require a job where I can explore my creativity and sell by mixing and matching products to my customers requests.
My previous industry "telecom" does not take me saying that I am now obsolete for them since I have spend over 2 years with some other industry. What all sectors can I try to bring back my passion to work.
Can anybody guide me which all industry can be very god paying ones and some creativity with the products can be exercised.

I've heard lawyers generally have to work an exorbitant amount of hours but are there any jobs available that don't require this time commitment?

My husband hates his job. His dream job is to be a music video director, and he has been working at this for 10 yrs with no luck. I am trying to encourage him to look elsewhere in the same industry that may be more 'realistic' (of course not saying that directly) such as film editor. He also says he has no idea what he wants to do with his life. I suggest going to school to increase skills, but he says no way. This conversation has been repeating itself for at least three yrs, and resulted in him still at the same job. What should I do? I suggested the 'what color is my parachute book', and he looked at it but did not like it. Any suggestions, I feel really stuck!

Do any of you have a similar story? While I loved working in the nursing homes when I was younger , I found that the job does not matter as much as the people you work with. My favorite jobs were because the people I worked with were so kind, so honest and decent. The worst jobs I found were when there is one or more individuals who exert a complete lack of honesty, are cold hearted and cheat, in addition , they cheat and excel because they can get away with it, always at the cost of the most honest of people. I think the most important decision is not necessarily the career you choose, but deciding what type of people you want to be around 40 + hours a week.

and put in my dept. I am not the boss or supervisor. This person seems to rush through things, picks and chooses which jobs to do (leaves the crap for me), and gets an attitude if I try to nicely make suggestions or requests of her. I am really aggravated about this. I've went to the supervisor, but not much is being done. What can I do, if anything to improve this problem? It puts me in a bad mood everyday.
