I've been on an dating service ... can I say... Match service. for a while and the profiles are just plain bad. One I say today prompted me to re-write it and send it (respectfully) to the originator advising him that his frequent reference to sex and arousal was a bit of a turn off for a lot of women. In good time, was my recommendation. Anyway, I think he really liked the softer sell version that I came up with and may use it to see if he can get his goals met...Anyway, I was thinking that I could make some money helping others do the same? Is there a restriction from my soliciting people thru Match. Or any other ideas. My re-write was really good!

My family is moving to Harrisonburg, Virginia next spring and I have the option of going with them..I am currently in university and therefore would have to wait one year to obtain residency and get the in state tuition rate. While I'm waiting, are there good full time jobs out there for 19 year old women without college degrees? Also, is Harrisonburg a city that one without a car could get around?

how long did it take to prepare for it? I already have an undergraduate degree, so I won't need to take anything but the paramedic classes. About how long should that take? What is the job market and pay like? What are the good and bad points about the job?

- I looked at my file it had stuff like my desk is scratched - i missed a page in a report - this is done only for my file - every little clerical error is in there! If I'm doing such a poor job, why don't they just fire me, or bring it to my attention - or not give me bonuses - I am confused! - any input would be helpful

I am a fully certified Arborist N.P.T.C and R.F.S cert Arb working for a housing company. my collegue and I undertatke all aspects of tree work, climbing, felling etc and do surveys, reports, hazard evaluations, diagnos pest and disease, common and statute law in relation to trees ie tree preservation orders (TPO). We are the only two in the company with these qualifications. We also have a workforce of joiners, plumbers, bricklayers. and all these trades carry out basic repairs to the properties. My collegue and I are as qualified as the other trades but in are own trade. Now they earn £6000 more than we do and do less work, do you feel that we have a case for pay discrimination?

I have just finished a school and was picked by a scout to go to L.A to a national convention to meet with agents from all over the world. I know for a fact that I do want to pursue acting, so this is my big shot but I do not have the money for it.
We were told that we should get sponsors, because 75% of people who go do.
I'm just wondering how to start off. I mean who is good to ask and who is not? I wrote a nice formal letter and I have all the paper work along with a tax number and everything. Anyone who donates over $100 will get major exposure in a directory that everyone who ettends will receive, so MAJOR exposure!

I just need help getting started. I mean I can't go to just ANYONE and ask them. So does anyone have any advice?

Thank you so much.

I am wanting to return to work and have contacted several local, state and federal agencies for assitance in obtaining employment.
Having a disability, and retuning to the work force after a 10 year absence creates some unsual circumstances most job seekers don't have to face.
After my contact with these government agencies I was left with little or no assitance in finding a "career" oreintated position. I even contacted the "ticket-to-work" program that is endorsed by the Social Security Administration itself. I was told that very few disabled citizens looking to return to work are offered more than minimum wages positions. I have a house payment and other expenses and minimum wage won't support that. I'm not asking for a $50K salary, but one that I can pay my bills with.
Any suggestions?

It's a smaller bar... maybe 50-60 customers in a night.
Why should I ask for that amount?

Thank you all so much for your responses. I will tell them by the end of this month, will give two months notice, enough time to replace me. Am not sure what reason am going to give. I know I should tell the truth, but I dont feel comfortable doing so. But yeah hours are crazy and top of that I bring work home. Today I was there from 7:30 am to 5:00pm, thats like 9.5 hours and still brought a few things to do at home. I didnt know job was going to ask me to put all these hours, I mean they say 8 hours to work and one hour lunch, but really I barely get a chance to take 10 mints lunch.

Neway, thank you so much for all your comments, its really helped me get my head cleared up and wont make me feel as bad quiting, they think am going to be there forever, because other people in the company been there for years, they all old.

Take care.
