I'm not sure that it is. In China wages are so low that people have to work long hours just to survive. In Japan big companies have traditionally had a master/serf relationship with their employees. In the UK we expect decent wages and decent work conditions so that we can have a life outside work.
Do you really think this is unreasonable of us?

In China and Japan, they don't have a benefit system. They literally do let you starve to death if you couldn't keep yourself so they have no choice but to work. The work ethic has been passed down from all the generations so its normal to them. I have never known a lazy Chinese or Japanese person and i worked in the Far East for 6yrs before settlig here.

Blame it on taxes. They are taxed to death!
SOMEONE has to pay for the Royal Family.
THEY do not pay taxes!!
