look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but its good to make some extra cash. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600 in a month working at home. Like the guy who polishes the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He started as a hobby, and the mayor saw him one day & decided to make it his job!
You could check with UPS or Fedex. They have a program for delivery. Basically what happens is you're on call, say from 8-5, & they call you & say we need this package delivered here by this time, you go, pick up the package, & deliver it. This normally happens if the driver didn't or can't deliver it in time. My friend does this & makes $100-$200 a pop, plus gas & mileage. No dress code either!

I am amazed how well independent plumbers can do in many places where there is a strong housing market. You'd probably need to apprentice for a couple of years at least, find a specialty, and save enough to buy tools, truck, etc....
LMPs can do well in many places, especially resort communities.
