i've returned to school to get my M.S. i'm only looking for part time morning hours doing stuff like stock/sales or non-cdl driving (ie: delivery). i've put in applications at retail chains (kohl's, best buy, circuit city) but haven't heard anything. i'm just wondering if having/going for a higher degree works against my being hired. i worked stock/sales in high school (a few moons ago) and it wasn't all that difficult (not to knock those who presently do it). any opinions/facts would be welcome.

I am a project manager and hired a replacement to become assitant manager and to take over my place as project manager within 6 months. Company is now closing that facility and told my project manager she was not getting Project Manager serverence because I as original project manager did not put her position in writing, although I did email her the specifics of the job and assured her that she woudl be project manager within six months.

I'm currently working at the company that the temp agency placed me at, and they still provide temps to the company. However, I want to find another job and I know that they have several good positions available with different companies. Should I talk to my former contact at that agency, or would that be too big of a risk while I'm still employed here?

I applied 2 months ago for a dream job that would forward my career and make sense of every poxy experience I've ever had to go through in my life (good wage too) I swiftly made it to the 3rd interview (out of 300 applicants) and then...nothing...
3 weeks passed, so I figured that I'd missed out, so I applied for another job, that I know I will enjoy but the position is a step backwards, the hours are a bit eeky and it's quite a bit less money. The interview went really well and I'd jut got home, when the phone rang and it was the orignal employer to say that I'd made it to the final 6 and could I come for the last interview in 10 days.
I was so shocked I said yes, and I was kind of like 'yippee'... but then - oh yes, I'm offered the other job....

Now....what would you do?

Hi, I'm currently working at a small business warehouse dealing with electronic components. I'm basically the warehouse manager I do almost everything besides making the invoices. I count, update inventory, get items ready for shipment, make labels, pack them then ship them. I do all the paperwork and keep the warehouse running by myself with over a couple thousand line items. i'm basically quality control, inventory management, warehouse management, warehouse supervisor, shipping recieving all rolled into one. I think i'm highly underpaid. Tell you the truth I make ONLY around 10 an hour.

What do you think I should be paid?

I have my final interview with a panel of five hiring managers this Friday. I would like to show them a portfolio of my work that includes a business plan, customer service stats and my performance numbers. How do I present this to a panel since it is more than one individual? Should I make five copies of everything or should I hand it to the one conducting the interview and have him pass it along??

I am in big trouble with my working life.I used to work as a male nurse and all in all I like it.At least i tryed to do it as well as I could.But I soon realized that it was too much for me.I mean i really couldn't cope with all that sufference and pain every day.It was too upsetting.So I gave it up but ever since it seems I can't find another job.Here in Italy there a lack of nurses and I could easily find another position but I would prefer not.What else can i apply for?

Is my co-worker trying to annoy me?
I have this problem with this coworker. She's a tech and I'm a secretary at a unit in the hospital. She likes to talk down on me. I think she purposely trys to annoy me. She asks me questions like have you seen Dr. so and so, when he's right there just so I knew who she was talking about. She's bossy as well. She dosn't ask me to get something for her thats within distance of her reaching it like her purse. She tells me..orders me esentially..with numerous stuff.. She so lazy.
I talked to my boss. She said talk to her. I talk to her she gives me attitude, and tells me i have an attitude. What do I do?? Don't tell me quit, because I can't with my financial situation.


recently i was so pissed because she was walking by the desk and she took her book and slapped it on my back/butt and she then put it on the drawer. I simply told her that wasn't right. And she gave me attitude. She basically said whatever.

I have been working in a new position for two months now.
I have been doing the same work I did when I first started.
I asked for additional task and have not been given any. The person before me said she had lots of work.
My manager said he would give me more work but hasnt.
Am I doing something wrong?
Why is are things like this ?
I am always on time, the task I do have I have done a great job with.
I mean whats the deal with this?
