Ok as you read this keep in mind I have a great full time job which allows me to attend college and have time to attend my childrens activities. Ballet, baseball etc. I am doing all the things needs to better my life and the lives of my children but this year things are a little tight financially and working full time and going to school doesn't give me the option of getting a part time job outside of the home.

So with the holidays coming I am looking to earn some extra money perferrably while working on it at home. I have access to the internet at home. I am a single mother of two and would like to make some extra money before the holidays any suggestions will be welcome. I know there are alot of scams out there and I can't afford to spend any money out of my pocket to make more so please only offer real advise no scams.

I fired a member of my sales staff recently after finding out that he had been falsely signing sales agreements on behalf of different companies and individuals over a period of 3 months. During this period I have paid him a salary, expenses, CPF and given him a company vehicle. So far he has cost my company a total of about 15,000 Singapore dollars and brought in 20. I am investigating the extent of the fraud and withholding his last week of salary until I have concluded how many non existent deals have been signed and deciding whether to proceed with a criminal case against him.
He has told me by law I have to pay him any outstanding monies within 3 days of his termination letter irrelevant of the fraud which he of course denies. I have already gathered a lot of evidence which proves his guilt without any doubt and have a watertight case against him. By law do I have to pay him in three days as he is telling me?

A few years ago I was sort of disapointed that I didn't need glasses...I thought they'd make me look smarter on job interviews. So I was wondering what your perception is.

My company has made a new employment contract that states, if we are terminated for any reason, we can't work anywhere in the field of metal-finishing for 18 months. This basically leaves the majority of us with no viable employment options in our field of education or experience. We're not sure if we should sign this, but the employer says sign or you can't work here. Can they do this??

Most of my work experience has been customer service, credit control and administration. One of the reasons why I want to become a tax adviser is because I enjoy working with figures and there are lots of opportunities such as becoming a self employed tax adviser, etc. However, the obstacle that I can see is that my academic qualifications are not that good & usually employers these days require applicants to have at least a 2.1 in their degree. My age is another problem.

Please advise how I can overcome these problems & if there are any other careers that I can pursue which do nor require such high academic achievements.

Thanks

Manjinder

I have been a stay at home mom for 5 years. Now that my daughter is in school, I want to start working again.

When potential employers see my resume, they see I have been out of work for 5 years and I believe that to be why I don't get a call back.

How do I get around this so I can work again or at least get a call back?
