Go in with confidence. Know as much as you can about the company. Learn as much as you can about the job. What does a person do in that job and what do you need to know to do that job?
Be able to explain why you like the field that you want to work in. Be ready to answer questions about what you have done that relates to the field. Also, if you have not done something directly, tell the interviewer about something very similar that you have done.
I once got a data entry job because I told the interviewer that I had entered data into an Excel spreadsheet. That might not be the best example, but showing that you understand the concept can be just as important as having completed the actual procedure.
Do not send a thank you note for getting the interview. You can send a thank you note after the interview for having been granted the interview. It looks like you have no confidence if you thank the person for offering you an interview. You earned that interview through your resume.

Just be yourself - there's no point in trying to sell something you're not because the fake you may fit into the company but the real you won't & that would just suck. Be confident but not cocky, shake the interviewers hand & wait to be asked to sit. Show that you know your stuff & a little about the company & you should be fine. Thank the interviewer for their time at the end & ask for feedback if you don't get the job so you know what you can do better next time.

You won't need to sent a hand-written thank you until after the interview. Go prepared with a knowledge of the company and it's history, and with questions to ask. Although I know it's hard, try not to give stock answers to questions, like "What is your greatest weakness"? Don't answer that you tend to work too hard. Try to give at least a semi-honest answer that won't preclude you from getting the job. I generally use "I not very good at last minute public speaking - I need to be really prepared before I speak in front of a group of people". That's true, but it doesn't interefere with my computer job. Try to incorporate intelligent questions, even if you have to resort to asking them how long they've been with the company, and if they've been in the sam position very long, etc. If you know the company's history, or some of their past big accounts, you can also ask questions about that. Be confident, but don't oversell yourself. Make sure you let him know that you work well alone, as well as with a team. Good luck! Hope you get the job if it's what you want!

You could first send a confirmation note saying that you have received the e-mail. one more thing you could do is you could go through the advertising firms website and gather some info regarding what the company advertises.
after that you could just try to imagine what you could really do if you are selected. just be confident enough whatever you do or say in the interview. i am sure you would do just fine.

i know the feeling, i just had mine last week. so my advice is, be punctual, relax, bring extra resume just in case..., eye contact all the time, for question and answer portion, be honest, don't over-elaborate unless it's "tell me about yourself" question...from brief family, school, and previous jobs until your recent job, no personals pls like boyfriends, etc...and pls. dress accordingly and don't forget to thank you your interviewer afterwards for good manners. one last thing, if ever at the end of the interview, you're given a chance to ask questions in return, pls. do and only ask anything related to the job and never , never open up the "money matters" first as this will come after you're already accepted. start by saying 'thank you for seeing me', then just be confident. if you give off an aura that nothing around you intimidates you and you can handle anything, they will be drawn to you. lots of smiling, and smart but not overkill outfit and positive attitude. that should make a good impression. i wouldnt send a thank you card, though. i think that might come across as needy.

I think sending a thank you note is ok and the first impression of you must be a good one so should take note of ur attire, you can check the internet for tips on dressing, anyway, good luck :)

Research the company so you will know what it is that they do and how long they been in business. also helpful to see who there biggest competitors are. have questions read about the position and the company. anything not to off the wall is get.

dress nice. I read once most employers look for things like a lot of body tattoos,metal in your ears,nose lips tongue ,etc. it is not liked in most work places.
