Should I be looking for new work? I do love my job, and I don't work in the same office or even state as the woman that made the decision but I feel so cheated. They said at 23 I was not ready for the responsiobilty of the new job, but they didn't tell me this until after they already hired the new chick!

I started with this company a little over 3 months ago. I came in here expressing that I lived for responsibility and that I wanted to move up in the company. To my surprise, they started training me to take over a big account that needs lots of special attention. I LOVE it. I absolutely love coming into work now becuase of this purpose I've been given. But, I feel like my supervisor is holding me back. Nice guy, but he and his 'pet' like to hand work off to other people and with my focus being more on this account, I'm not there to do all their 'crap work' when they need me to... So, he told the girl who is training me to take this account not to be giving me as much and that we were to split the work 50/50- when I could handle it all if given the chance. That way when they "needed me" I'd be available. This happened a week ago and she cut my work down and I have yet to see anything from my supervisor. What is going on here? Do I really have a reason to be complaining?! Help!

I also need advice on how to better our lines of communication. Also are daily or weekly meetings effective? Please keep in mind that I am not the team lead or the manager, just a regular employee trying to make a difference in my work environment.

for a woman or are women only supposed to wear skirts to look professional? the reason i ask is because i do Mary Kay and my director sent an email out to everyone saying "please wear professional attire, no slacks please" before this i didnt think there was anything wrong with a woman wearing pants as long as they looked nice, so i was just wondering if i was alone on thinking this.

What they did about it? A friend of mine was so excited and gave all the info. Bad mistake, but thought someone might know what I could tell her

I work for an engineering company as document control for a big project. We have inspectors that report on the work being done. My boss is a fairly new manager and we are close. I am having huge issues with one of the inspectors. I don't know if they're my issues, but, he has been late close to 20x in less than a year. I don't mean just a little late, like 1 hour late with no phone call and then he calls in with some stupid excuse and obviously he has slept in. He is very irritating to everyone including my boss but she does nothing. He has been reprimanded several times and told that if he's late again, he's fired. This didn't happen. He is a known drug user and it's been evident many times that he was high. My boss doesn't want to accuse him. There are other issues as well. I get so mad about him and find it disgusting that everyone else works hard and has good ethics and he is the opposite and gets away with everything.

Well the hispanic side is to help the people who don't speak English in opening accounts and all that. I work on the hispanic side. Well one of the girls on the other side left the job last Monday. Well today Monday our Branch Manager hired another girl from outside to be full-time while he has me that knows some what of the other side. The girl who just came in doesn't have no experienced in banking. She is American and so am I. I was born here just like she was but my skin color is a slight darker not like the mexicans it is like a tan. My parents are mexicans so that makes me Mexican American. So you get it now. Well do you think that he is descriminating because I am hispanic and because she is white just like he is? I need help please help. What can I do?

My supervisor hates my guts. He has been trying to get me fired for a long time and its because when I first came into this place, I was practically taking over. I was actually a junior financial counselor and I was controlling that whole department, just because I thought the supervisor was a slacker, so I had to pick up his slack. The boss always told me that i may be getting a promotion and that I was the favorite. He hated the fact I took his spot. The boss just began to notice when he saw how hard I worked, and started pushing the supe.

I already got the promotion to financial counselor and he hates the fact, even sometimes when I dont make my goal, the boss still wants to keep me here. The supervisor been trying to get me fired for a long long time. The boss just keeps letting him know...hell no, she is the best here, she works hard. The supervisor doesn't know that I know that though.

I have never wanted to just get someone fired. The hateration is overbearing!!!

For example staffing agencies like Robert Half, K force, and etc. I mean with my experience all this people do is take jobs from careerbuilder and monster and post it like their own job posting. Also you have multiple interviews that you don't even need if you didn't use a staffing agency. Also if the agency doesn't have a good working relationship with the client company that can make the candidate stand out/ What is the purpose of using one if all they do is take 40% of your salary when all they did is get you an interview with a company something anybody can do themselve for free on a job search engine.
