I mean the entirety of my tongue traversed the length of her cheek. She is claiming sexual harrassment. I am claiming my right as her male coworker. What gives?

No No, No, that is not what you do to gain attention, learn from it.

If it was an unwanted advance, it's harassment. People nowadays do not take the workplace as seriously nor as professionaly as before. People think because you tell a crass joke and someone laughs that it's okay to do other things (like lick your coworkers face). It could definately be deemed sexual harassment if she 1. tells you that she does not want a "relationship" of any sort with you 2. is very professional anyway at work 3. does not laugh at your crude jokes (I'm sure you tell crude jokes since you were bold enought to lick her face).

I'm really not trying to be mean, but she is your coworker, not your friend. I learned that the hard way at work. I didn't harass anyone or lick anyone's face, but I did tell what I thought was a funny joke (it was pretty crude) and was reported to HR for harassment by another female coworker. I keep my work relationships professional. If someone I work with wants to hang out with me, that's fine (if I want to be their friend). That's when I lick their faces!

Live and learn. Tell your boss that it was a foolish mistake that you will be sure not to repeat again and apologize to her. Don't send flowers or offer dinner or anything, she may think that you are trying to further "harass" her. Just tell her that you are genuinely sorry and you thought that you had a friendly relationship that would warrant horseplay. Now that you know that your relationship isn't of the sort, you will keep it strictly professional with her. I be she will appreciate that.

Best of luck to you!

Where is it written that a co-employee has the RIGHT to lick a co-worker's face?

You may be facing a sexual harassment charge for establishing a "hostile work environment", not only to the co-worker whom you assaulted, but anyone else in the vicinity who was offended by your antics.

Yeah I dont know if I'd call it sexual harassment, but she definitely has a case. You had no right to do that. Get a better lawyer than she has if you want any hope. Sorry!

well did u lick her face with out her approval? because if u did she will win. u assaulted her with out her knowing in giving u permission. only how u can win is if u can prove she has come on to u or oter males at work. if nobodys there to help u prove it or at least say they saw it its no use. u need a female to say she saw her coming on to u various times are theres a 90% chance u will lose.
