Is there any kind of etiquette for this situation?

keep it simple, just the thak you card will be fine, if you get the flowers and chocolate those people above are suggesting it may send the wrong signal

Well just remember, that there is a distinction between a raise and an inflationary adjustment, which in some countries is required by law. I'm not sure what yours was, but I dont think that it is normal to write a card.

There is nothing that you should do. You earned the raise that you got. There is no need to thank someone for giving you what you already work for.

why you worked your *** off..

did they tell you or just do it?
if you were warned about the rise what you said then would be fine - otherwise it may look like sucking up

make sure it's not a building raise!!!

maybe just a box of chocolate with a note on saying thanks, as opposed to a full blown card. you wouldn't have gotten the raise if you didn't deserve it, right?
