There is a very high probability. There are "Now Hiring" signs everywhere you look. Businesses have a really hard time filling the simple jobs because kids don't want to work anymore.

Quite probable due to a lot of shops taking on temporary staff over Xmas.
As long as you think you will be able to do the job they should at least consider you without experience.
Make sure you let them know you are keen and hardworking.
Even if the job is temporary, take it. It will give you experience which you can use to apply for other jobs and the company will give you a reference.

Doesn't matter about experience, they usually train you on the job. Just be confident and try to think of something you have done which may relate to shop work, such as organising something at school/college or taking part in a group project. It also helps if you have a knowledge of the product you are selling, e.g. books, CDs, clothes.
Best of luck - old boy!! Christmas is a-comin'!

The big stores usually look for people to stack there shelves, could be a good start. How come you have never had a job? It would probably be a good idea to enrol in a college and work towards some kind of career. Good Luck

Coming up to christmas lot of shops are looking for extra staff, either in their stock rooms or on the shop floor, you could be lucky and get one in the big stores, part time or full time just ask for an application form next time you're in any of you're local shops and look keen

I managed it a few years ago so it is possible. Go to your nearest shopping centre and start getting application forms now! If you apply and start now they will be happy to train you up in time for the Christmas rush!

Good Luck!

I've noticed the bigger supermarkets are advertising for staff at the moment, maybe give them a try? When I worked in a shop, we did employ untrained staff, they learned on the job. Good luck!

I'm told all you have to do this time of year is to walk into any Argos store and they'll take you on for the Xmas season.
