Is there really such a thing as secret shoppers? Are all of the places that say they are hiring scams? If not, how do you become a secret shopper? What things should I look for in choosing a company to work for? The more info the better. Thanks!

I was recently fired. My immediate supervisor said she didn't know but to contact Human Resources. I did, and she didn't know why, then I contacted the Clinical Director and she hasn't returned any of my calls.
Don't I have a right to know why I was let go? Something isn't right and even the Unemployment Agency who investigates claims for benefits said they weren't clear on why I was let go.
It sounds like I need to contact a lawyer, or get a letter at least explaining to me why I was fired right?

After searching on Google for a type at home job, I found the website www.type-at-home.com and purchased the product for $49.00 After going through the information I received I understand its nothing like typing at home, I feel like I have been mislead and so many others will be. The home page suggests that all it takes to make money is to type and submit forms but once you have paid the money, its a different story. You have to write adverts and publish them, and you will only get the money when someone buys....May be I was silly to buy this in the first place. what are your views?

so that Person A doesn't end up doing all the work?

I (Person A) find myself constantly picking up the messes that Person B leaves, mainly b/c he doesn't seem to care whether it gets done or not. Also, I'm done with complaining about this problem to our supervisor, b/c *I* just end up looking bad. I don't want to complain anymore... I just want the guy to get off his @ss and do his job! How??

I became a mom at 17 and did child care while my son was growing up to stay home with him. Now my kids are in school and I don't have any true skills. I am going crazy and need to find fulfilling employment but nobody is going to hire me except some fast food place. I have life skills, I am 29 but that is it, I don't have time or money for school. I feel so lost and confused. I was such a good mom and now that I don;t have that I am empty. Any advice for me, anyone wan to hire me????

before moving on and trying something new? I've been at this job almost 3 years and I feel like I've hit "burnout" and I no longer care about what I'm doing (not sure if I ever did)... I'm having a huge problem staying motivated.

Also, do you believe in having multiple careers in a lifetime? Or finding 1 thing and building on it / being promoted to "the top"?

I will not show up late for work because people keep bugging me about being on time. I started a job once at 8:00. I showed up at 7:55 and some idiot around started laughing and said "Why are you so early?" Early!!? FIVE minutes? If people like that want to be late and have the unemployment line to look forward to, that's their business. I won't participate.

My strenghts, I work exceptionally well in a fast paced enviroment if I'm asked to do something its guaranteed to get done and to the best of my ability. Personally, I always say that my weakness is expecting myself to excell in every way possible. I can't think of a weakness that would hinder my job performance

I have looked through lots of websites but they all lead me to American sites and I'm in the UK. I tried to call social service but noone is helpful enough as to point me in the right direction!

I have ten years professional experience, ranging from work in financial markets to PR firms and now in the national transit industry (not bus driving, but program planning). I don't have a masters, but do have a Bachelor of Science in Business/ Marketing. Im at workstudy designing a flyer and making a mere $7 an hour when a representive from a gift company comes and asks about my work he gives me acard and tells me to build a portfoloio and start aksing around loacla churches and deaptrments with-in the college, I am STRONGLY considering doing this in my sparetime as a way to rake in some dollars for collgee.
