so that Person A doesn't end up doing all the work?

I (Person A) find myself constantly picking up the messes that Person B leaves, mainly b/c he doesn't seem to care whether it gets done or not. Also, I'm done with complaining about this problem to our supervisor, b/c *I* just end up looking bad. I don't want to complain anymore... I just want the guy to get off his @ss and do his job! How??

problems are:
A) in order to do my job, i depend on things he does (lol... or doesn't do)
B) i'm concerned about the company as a whole, and the way he conducts himself, he damages our image.

Do your job well and don't worry about his.

Impossible because Person A have no authority. Person A should do their job giving 100%, and let Person B do or not do their job.

Eventually Person B will not do 'something' which is important and the person with authority will have to address him.

It is good you care about the company, but it seems that your supervisor does not care about the company or he would have addressed this issue when you complained before. Unfortunately, you will have to wait until the 'right' people see what is going on.
Best Wishes!!!

By doing your job exceptionally well will only make him look worse... you aren't his maid/mother so don't fix what he doesn't care about. When the time comes for your supervisor to check the status of things he/she will see that this slob isn't carrying his weight.

Maybe this slacker knows that you "pick up after him" and is ok with YOU doing the work instead of HIM... maybe when he realizes that you aren't doing it, he'll be forced to do his own work to keep working there.

Don't pick up after him. Most men, if a woman(like his mommy) picks up after him, will continue to "allow" you to do it. Just do your work and stick to that. Push his stuff aside. Unfortunately, you can't make him do it, but if you keep doing it for him, believe me, he will let you. When you complain, you are looked on as the malcontent especially if the supervisor is also male. As I always tell my students when they work group projects, know what is yours and what is theirs; do yours, not theirs.

Why you do this!

I mean there must be some reasons you choose to work
and he does not.

If you have some points which makes you complete the whole work, why he has not!

Well, you can try to convince him, to show your point of view.

That is you have to GET HIM in your SHOES.

just say.."hey, u wanna do this????", or " could u do this", "do u mind finishing this"... if the're a lazy person u gotta give them somthing to do..just ask nicely and then they'll learn 2 work, at least when they're around u.

STOP PICKING UP BEHIND HIM .... EVERYTHING THAT U R DOING FOR HIM JUST STOP DOING IT AND THE SUPERVISOR WILL SEE THAT HE IS NOT DOING WHAT HE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING AND WILL FIRE HIM
