My strenghts, I work exceptionally well in a fast paced enviroment if I'm asked to do something its guaranteed to get done and to the best of my ability. Personally, I always say that my weakness is expecting myself to excell in every way possible. I can't think of a weakness that would hinder my job perfprmance.

The strengths are kind of overdone. It is assumed that if you are asked to do something, it will get done to the best of your ability. That is not unique. Something like "I work well in a fast-paced environment, and I can multitask under pressure" works because not everyone can do that. Be prepared to talk about a job you have had that required this ability, like "When I worked at St. Boniface hospital, I had to deal with admitting patients, emergency triage, and phone calls at the same time, usually when it was very busy."

For weaknesses, don't use the old Perfectionism thing, it's been done to death and employers are sick of it. Really think about this one, and be honest. Don't look for things that could hinder your job performance, look for things that you don't know or have that could improve it. For example, if there is specialized training you could get in one little aspect of the job, mention that. Something like, "I don't have any formal training in Excel, and I do need to acquire some skills in that area, but I learn fast on the job too, so it shouldn't be a problem".

Sounds like you are a perfectionist. In my experience, perfectionism has one major weakness. It can effect productivity. An example might be that I ask a person to do two projects. They do the first one perfectly, spending an extraordinary amount of time to make sure every detail is checked and rechecked. It then leaves less time to complete the second project, or having no deadline, the second project isn't completed in a timely manner.

It comes down to prioritizing what's more important. If I can have two projects done well in less time, it's worth more to me than having one project absolutely perfect and the other done well in twice the time. Especially if I'm paying the person by the hour.

I can't say for sure if this something you do, or not. It's just a shortcoming that I've noticed in otherwise outstanding workers.

While those are good answers, remember they want to judge your weakness. Whatever you say - DON'T let it be that you 'care too much' or some lame crap like that. The last time I sat on an interview panel, we laugehd our butts off when the candidates who said that left.

Your first listed weakness is pretty good actually...I might use that next time myself ;)

For a weakness a good technique to remember would be to take something good and make it seem bad. For example "My co-workers have told me that I am a workaholic and need to learn to take time out for myself." or "I've been told that I'm too critical of myself because I always get angry with myself for the smallest mistakes that I make."
