My Husband was over paid twice this month and now his employer is taking it out of his next paychek. Now when I was back in school, my ecom teacher told us that a check is a contract that both parties agree on if both people sign it. Is that true? Can they really take the money out from his next check?

Have u ever gone to the Dr. when an assnt, had to sign your work note? Your work questions the note, the Dr. says he didn't sign it. And because he says this it is considered medical fraud in the eyes of the employer, and you're terminated! Do you think this is medical fraud? The defination of fraud is to deceive in order to gain. What is your opinion? Thanks

I work in Birmingham at the moment but am moving back to London in a week for a new job and to be nearer to family.

I wish I had asked for more money at the interview, I'll be working as a team secretary, for a large international company. (4000 just at the office I'm at)

What do you think is a fair salary for my age? I am 24 next month

I would really appreciate some help or advice from anyone involved with recruitment as I'm almost at my wits end with regards to finding work.

Over the course of the last year, I must have applied to (and I'm honestly not exaggerating) around 250 different jobs. The only work I've actually been able to obtain has been temporary, three month employment which is of little use as clearly the idea is to gain permanent employment somewhere.

A very (brief) background of myself;

A Levels in maths, applied maths, physics and psychology. Currently completing my degree in mathematics via part time distance learning.
Have always worked, even throughout school and college.
I'm well presented, articulate and well spoken.
I even used to have a small business making and selling computers before I went to University.
Here's my CV (http://www.geocities.com/craig_hll/cv_updated_12_09_2006.pdf)

I believe (just about after so much rejection) that I'm very employable, and yet over the ...

Sadly most of them are money grabbers/lazy and are only interested in using you until they find a good job. Do you really think they care about your kids? (my own experience of having them in my home, never again i tell you!!!)

This is a serious question. I have been dancing (stripping) for 5 years and am now in my 30's and really have had enough of it.
I want so much to move forward, yet I have trouble finding a job as I have no background on my resume and certainly no past references I can use. I really need to move forward, yet I do not know where to go next. Let me rephrase that - I know where to go next, I just don't know how to get there.
I am in Ohio and if anyone knows of a job counselor or somewhere I can go where I can get a good job where my background is not an issue, please let me know.

I also have friends who are in the same boat. None of us really have a place to go next, yet we are all eager to do something else, and we all have experience from prior "real jobs".

I really need to find someone who will help me get a job.
Does anyone know of a service for this?

If criminals and people on welfare can get help from the government...why can't we?
