Take care - as you are undoubtedly aware there are a lot of scammy 'opportunities' out there.

Anything that is going to be a 'real ' business over the long term - will require time patience and determination. Also it is NOT likely to bring money fast, in large amounts, easily etc..

Anything that you see that implies - 'I earned loads doing nothing' - is suspicious.

Doing online surveys, or any of those kind of things, takes a lot of time and rewards are minimal - and not likely to get better.

Website design is stupendously competitive - If you want to be a designer, or a web developer (different skills set) there will usually be long learning curve - and then huge competition alraedy out there that you have to overcome to get established - NOT EASY if you are housebound - ...BUT

If you are tied to the house - building a real business that works on the Internet is a great idea...it is just that there are 1000's (maybe even millions) of Internet business scams (above and beyond any other business type).

As someone suggests, you COULD try promoting (along with many other 1000's of folk) the .ws websites...BUT frankly (and this is my opinion) you have to ask...how many businesses today have you seen so far using the .ws variant? (I have seen there are some...and those who sign-up cheap to 'network' these websites...MAY earn back what they paid to join...but for every one person who has earned more than a handful of dollars there will be 1000's who have earned very little).

Given similar personal reasons I have been home-based, setting-up and running businesses over the last couple of years.

The businesses we run (as a family now) - are growing - and beginning to show dividends - it has not been easy, nor quick, but these are REAL businesses that are growing and will LAST...In fact the most attractive about them is that, as the time passes, they become more valuable - and yet require no more time to run them.

I can only suggest - do not JUMP into anything - Do not fall for anything that says you can 'earn lots' by doing little or nothing! (This has never been possible...nor will it ever be...the ONLY people who 'earn' from these offers are those who offer it to the unwary, the unwise and the plain stupid).

Do your research, do your due diligence, and then use your own commonsense and intuition to determine whether or not you think it sounds like a real business that is going to provide you with an income over the long-term.

ANY real business requires some learning, a lot of effort, and investment of time and, at least, some money.

As you have an internet connection, you could do paid-for surveys online. These are sometimes paid cash or in gift vouchers for online stores. Type in paid surveys in a search engine and follow some of the links. If you have someone who can go to the post office for you, you could easily sell on Ebay or Amazon. Closer to home, selling in the classifed ads of local papers is sometimes free, plus they come to you to buy the goods. A good rule of thumb when respnding to home-working opportunities, is to avoid those which ask for initial payments from you, as it is supposed to make you money not cost you money! Exceptions to this rule are party plan agencies like Body Shop, Avon, Virgin Vie, where the initial payment is for the demonstrator kits. Finally, sign up your details to some employment agencies online, and they will email you with suitable vacancies. Again, use a search engine for examples.
