i was just wondering,
how many years of schooling does a sexual relatied crimes detective require? or just a regular detective?

what about a airline transport pilot?
or a flight attendant?

thank you!

I graduated last month with a paralegal degree. I moved back to the small town I'm originally from, and have not found any jobs at all, not even related ones. I've been looking in the local papers, job sites, talking to the few contacts I have. Do you think going to various law firms with resumes would help, or does that sound too desperate? I am desperate to get a job - I've even applied to jobs in the city where I went to school, an hour away, but the drive would be too much and I don't want to live there again. What can I do? I'd even settle for a dinky sales job at this point, but I don't think they want me because of my schooling. I have some sales experience, and I interned with a state agency for awhile in public relations in my undergrad (my undergrad is in communications, and I have the paralegal certificate). Should I focus on the legal jobs, going to visit firms? I sent out resumes to firms in town letting them know of my graduation, but got no responses.

A friend of mine got fired from his job and is having a hard time finding a new job. He suspects that his boss is illegally telling potential job offerees more then he is supposed to. I have agreed to call his boss and pretend that I am in HR for a job he has applied to and find out. Does anybody do this sort of thing for a living and can help me choose exactly what I should say?

I just wonder if they work on commission because I just talked to one and she was so rude and started asking me personal questions. It's like I owe her the money or something. So when I pay it I surely will not be dealing with her.

My boss can't seen to relinquish control when it comes to assigning tasks. Any methods on how to deal with the situation? Anyone with similar experiences who can offer a personal story and a solution?

I'm lookng for a new job. I hate the one I have, and I've tried monster.com and similar sites, but I didn't go to college and most of those jobs require degrees.

I am being offered a position with a non-profit company for $35k annually. It is (on average) a 25-30 minute morning commute, plus 10 minutes to drop the baby off. Coming home, it will take me about an hour to 70 minutes to pick up both kids and get home. Should I accept it, or wait and see if something closer to home shows up--even if it is for less money? I would like to stay closer to home, but that's pretty decent $$....

I work in a Day Care Center, and have an employee who sits around and watches the children misbehave, rather than deal with the situation. I'm not exactly sure how to approach her, as she may get really mad and just walk out for good. I need her as an employee, but she really has to do something other than just sit. Any ideas on how to talk to her in a tactful and professional way? Thank You!

Is it absolutely necessary to give a two weeks notice? I work at a Baskin-Robbins franchise as the lowliest wage-slave you could imagine. Is it really necessary that I give a two weeks notice? Could leaving in a few days damage my chances of getting a new job? I've been a relatively helpful employee, never doing much wrong besides not having doctor's notes. (I can't afford to go most of the time.) But I need to quit immediately because working late is causing my grades to become unsatisfactory. I'm really torn between enduring the two weeks and just going ahead and quitting.

What should I do?

The second interview for the same job that is :)

I have looked on the net for the company but unsuccessful. I actually thought my interview did not go that well as I was unable to speak coherantly! lol.

I could do with some questions for after the interview as I struggles last time!

At work I seem to be able to get so much more done then several of my counterparts. It is irritating that they spend so much time on personal stuff and discussing other things and I am so busy, then they complain about not having enough time....what to do?
