Most of my experience is working as a temp. I am trying to find a position within a company and it is a tough job market. Any suggestions. Serious inquiries only.

I work as a staffing manager for a temp agency and truly with so little work experience it probably is the best way for you to go right now to gain more experience. Also, while it's true that companies like to "try before they buy" it also gives you a chance to view different companies and see what you like and dislike about different companies, their benefits etc. without you making a real commitment to a company. As some of the previous answers suggested, put your best foot forward and even though you might go to a position that isn't a "temp-to-hire" opportunity, you never know what door could open within that company if you have proven to be a good asset.

Keep working as a temp. This could open up a job for you in the company that you are working in. If you do really good work and present yourself well, they may offer you a permanent position. In the meantime, apply at other companies and keep building up your work experience. Good luck.

with your little experience, temp agencies are your ONLY bet really. hope they can find you something that you'd enjoy and then you can take it from there. were you to go elsewhere and look for employment doing clerical stuff, it would have to be with a small company or a some sort of retail environment.

Actually, the temp route is a good one. Most companies like to "try before they buy" and often hire good clearical workers from their onsite temps. Get a plumb temp assignment, do a good job, and see if you can get on the payroll.

Well, if you cannot find a job with a major corporation or anything, try your local city government. There are usually openings for clerks in libraries or at government offices. AND they usually pay better!
