Normally, when someone wants to buy the material for a given job, they are asking a workman to give them an hourly wage that they require. This is only for the labor because the material will be furnished for the job. This is not the best way to quote a job. I'd find out what they require and give them a total figure for labor, and not break it down to hourly, because sometimes if you quote $35-$50 bucks an hour, a person will jump back and say..........whoa!

it is a term that freelance workers use they quote you how much they are going to charge you per hour dependind on the type of work you need done

My guess is a quote that tells you how much you or an employee worked during a particular time period. It might even tell you how much they were paid - I don't know.

Usually an employee gets one on his/her paycheck stub.
