My strenghts, I work exceptionally well in a fast paced enviroment if I'm asked to do something its guaranteed to get done and to the best of my ability. Personally, I always say that my weakness is expecting myself to excell in every way possible. I can't think of a weakness that would hinder my job performance

Sounds good to me. Do you have any other strengths like: organizational skills, computer skills, trainable, always on time etc. You can pad this a lot. As for your weaknesses- it's fine just as you have stated!

Have a great day and good luck on the interview!!!

Not too bad - but a long time ago I tried one like that, and the guy interviewing me muttered out loud, "Maybe your weakness is that you don't even know what you're weaknesses are." This was a THIRD-round interview, so it's not like I wasn't qualified already. (I didn't get the job.)

A better answer, I've come to learn, is to site something that is actually something you are trying to improve already. For instance, you might say that you would like to be stronger in a foreign language - and that you've been taking courses at the community college or wherever in Swahili or Italian. Might not be the right example for you, but you get the idea.

The purpose of the question is NOT really to show a weakness, but to show that you do NOT get flustered when someone comes after you for anything. Find a clean answer that is easily deflected in the way I described, and then (forgive me) SHUT UP, smile, and ask a GOOD question yourself about something.

Good luck!

They don't necessarily WANT you to have a weakness that will hinder your job performance!! They just want to know if you know yourself and your limitations. Mine is somewhere along the lines of what you said yours is. ..You're supposed to turn your weakness into a positive or tell them how you think the job would help you overcome this weakness or how it can be used to your advantage on the job or something.

I haven't had the best luck with job searching yet (so you may not want to take this advice, couldn't hurt though)..if they ask for the weakness tell them your weakness as above and tell them that helps you to be the best employee you can be at your work and at attempting to be the best you can in all the tasks/areas of the job.

Answering your weaknesses is probably the hardest question. If you're focused on results ..."guaranteed to get done and to teh best of my ability.", then I would ask, how are you when they CHANGE what needs to be done? Or cancel it at the last minute.

How are you with CHANGE in direction?

Do you like to work with equally dedicated people, or is there a weakness to work with people that are goof offs?

How do you react if you're asked to do something that really isn't your job? Do you have the expectatoin that your job tasks will fit into the job description?

(I'm not saying you're any of these things, only to bring up some thoughts for weaknesses)

Yes, that's a good one. I always say I am a perfectionist. Strengths, I always use "multi-tasking" or "flexible"
