Give me some questions you like to use or you like to hear from the interviewee (as interviewer) on an interview. Please don't link me up with sites that have these, I just want to get some variety from people on Y! answers.

An interview is a date. Listening is the key to asking. If you can get the hiring manager to talk about themselves/the company, you will be lead into a direction for timely questions. Research Research Research. You need to know what the company does, who they sell to, who the CEO/President is. You need to be intimately familiar with the company products or services. Asking intelligent questions from a base of company knowledge will make you look sharp and strong.

The Ninja trick is to lead the hiring manager into talking about subjects where you can subtly introduce specific strengths.

You: Nina, I heard that you guys are moving into mobile gaming.

Nina: Yes, we are making a big push into that world and having trouble finding good product managers.

You: It's not on my resume but I lead the product management team for THQ's mobile gaming system roll out...

Nina: Wow, okay, you need to meet Jeff...


Done and Done.

Heck, I was interviewing quite a number of years ago, and one of the sources I used said to ask questions like, "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you like to be, and why?"

But really, ask questions which are relevant to the job they are going through. Give them an imagined problem, and ask them what they would do in that situation.

Also, if they have previous jobs, ask what they found most fulfilling about the jobs they had in the past and what they disliked about them. Ask if they've worked with dificult people, and for details, and also how they handled the situation.

I was almost always concentrating more on the fit of the person into the department rather than if they had the knowledge they needed to do the job.

The best answer ever to just about any question pertaining to your own faults, where you want to be in five years, or what you want out of life is to do and say the following:

Sigh, look down and in a calm, slow voice say:

"You know, I think my whole goal in life is to become the person my dog thinks that I am."

Then, give a small reserved smile and take another deep breath and wait for their response.

Do you promote within the company?

What medical and health benefits does the company have?

Is there a chance for advancement within the company?

Is there anything else you would like to aske me?

what i like to hear from applicants:

what is your policy on overtime? (willingness to work overtime is a plus.)
do employees have the opportunity to work weekends?
is there room in this position for upward movement / promotion?

anything that shows dedication to hard work is a big plus.

do some research on the company. ask questions pertaining to what would help you see if it was a good fit for you. that's my opinion.

the best one is: how much do u think u should earn?? i guess there´s no good answer to that one!.
