The way we do things, and the way we work has gone through some change.

There used to be highly skilled craftsmen who were dedicated to working at perfection, and took great pride in what they made.

What caused this to slowly retreat, and the fast way of doing things take over?

Technology? Downsizing? Any ideas?

I was thinking of wearing a full knee length skirt but I'm unsure if it's appropriate to wear open toe shoes with no stockings to an interview or do I need to wear hose and professional style shoes. No funny answers please. I know what is fashionable and I know not to wear hose with open toe shoes. Please consider the nature of the job I'm applying for when answering.

I asked 2 days ago: will you help me name my ebay store? I noticed in my profile that it said the question was removed. Why? I never promoted my business. In fact, it has yet to be established so I couldn't really promote it. I never even gave the name I settled on so it wouldn't appear I was advertising. So why was it removed? I am not being petty, however, I may have more questions about my business and wonder if I can ask them without being reported. I never gave a business name. So, that wasn't it. Help??? I am not upset, just confused.

My strongest job proficiencies. 3. I have to explain what measures I have taken to overcome and improve my job related deficiencies. I have not a clue as what to say. Please help me out! The job I am applying for is a collector at a bank.

I'm scheduled to go to work in about three hours; however, I haven't been sleeping well lately and running after a 12 mo. old all day. I did take a nap, when she did, this afternoon but I still feel really groggy and disorientated...kind of lightheaded too. Should I go in to work (it's a four hour shift) or call in sick? I called in sick last Wednesday as my daughter had a fever.

The company I work for sends me there to do housework (I'm a home support worker). There are LOTS of big brownish spiders with super long skinny legs. Usually they are just in the laundry room area in the basement or in the stairwell but today I counted 3 on the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom. Every time I see one I feel so light-headed. I'm having nightmares about these kind too. Do you think my boss would understand if I wanted to quit that place?

They are saying,it is Confidential, then say no more.

I recently started my new job, and I might have to take tomorrow night off because my son is really poorly. I phoned my boss to tell him that if my son is still unwell tomorrow I will have to take the night off and he said that if this is going to become a regular thing, I will have to leave. I promised that this wont happen regularly, but I'm worried that if I do have to have tomorrow night off, I will lose my job. I dont want this to happen as I love my job.
