Are you looking to make a career from this or is it just soemthing to fill the weekends? Always dress over the top for whatever interview you go for. Go as formal as possible, but be approachable, friendly and bright. No need to tone down, dull colours reflect a personsality, be bright and responsive, red, pink, would be excellent. But not too much! Bright, lively but reserved! You want to show you do have taste in clothing, you want to show you can match an outfit. So make it match, keep mistakes at bay by keeping things simple. Closed toe shoes, stockings are perfect. Best of luck with the job anyways!

Go find out what the people working there (and at other similar shops) are wearing at work, and wear something just slightly nicer. Unless employees wear casual junk, then a business suit is always appropriate for an interview. Do women still have business suits? Like Lois Lane wore in the black and white Superman TV show? Midi skirt, blouse, jacket?
Or you could dress like Hillary Clinton and walk in saying you are taking over the place. :-)

It is better to be overdressed for a job interview than under dressed. As for the shoes, it just depends. Wear what looks most professional for the interview. Good Luck!

How about nice dress slacks with a nice button down collared blouse?!? You can get away with not wearing hose with pants and open toed shoes..no hose. If you go with the skirt, I would say wear the pantyhose with a closed pump, not open toed.

A bridal gown...ha ha ha ha.
Just kidding.
It depends on how formal the place is? Do you remember when applying what the staff looked like. If they all wore suits or real business like outfits, then tailor to that. If they were laid back then you can wear something less formal, but don't go in looking like you were unprepared.
